The best cover versions list.

As much as we all like original music, there have been cover versions that are just as good or even better than the original versions. I like listening to interesting takes on orginal songs...especially if in theory it sounds like it would be ridiculous - Johnny Cash doing Nine Inch Nails for instance.

So, have you any favourite cover versions that you'd like to recommend? Here's a few of my personal faves (the original artist is in brackets) Smile

No I disagree Clarke. She's too well trained to sing pop songs. Goes a bit OTT with the wailing in between notes like Mariah, Celine et al. Just sing the note woman!

I have seen Hayseed live loads of times, they play Cardiff about twice a year and I try to make it when I can. My favourite of their covers at the moment is Bohemian Rhapsody, whilst their Fat Bottomed Girls may actually be better than the original!

Surprised nobody has mentioned Tom Jones - Kiss, another cover that I prefer to the original.

Enforcer - I really like HD's version of Highway To Hell and I Believe In A Thing Called Love is better than the original.

As a huge Tom Jones fan, I have to agree with....cari. Prefer the Prince version.
