I'd be interested in playing this year if there was still space to join up?

Don't mind if we keep East & West like last year or go to Divs 1 & 2

I would play in more than one league if there was enough people who wanted too

On NFL.COM you can enter up to 6 leagues [but only 1 team per league]
Each would have a seperate draft etc
We had a couple of players not last the season so there will be some spare places for the original East & West leagues I would think

You can call your team whatever you wish
The links to the 2 leagues are at the top of the page take a look

I'll be back running this thing again for whichever league i'm in. I think people appreciated it and I thought it was a pretty swish design job by myself Wink
I would be happy to run one of the leagues if it helps... don't know how much trouble pr4wn had double drafting at the same time last year!

My only concern with doing drafts and signups so soon is that we would potentially get people in the leagues on impulse that forget about it etc like last year.
Maybe we need a signup system where there is a "warning" about say a week before the draft where everyone in the league had to basically say "i'm still here" and those that aren't (unless they are known long term forum regulars who might have stumbled out of the country) can be replaced? Something like that?

I sort of like that as a concept. Introduces some element of promotion and relegation to keep things interesting till the end.
I will, as per last year, say that I think 12 teams (3 divisions) is the best as it's balanced but I enjoyed the extra challenge of 14 teams whereby the waiver wire was so much more of a challenge as the basic rosters took up so many players... much better than the 10 team leagues on the standard NFL.com where there are always decentish players on waivers.

Having played in 10 / 12 / 14 team leagues I agree with Crazy_Dave 12 is the best no of players per league
I like the idea of promotion etc
We had 11 -12 active players in the West I think all 14 kept going in the east
So we have a good core of players to form 3 12 team leagues

OK Thought the West page was very good

I wouldn't want to draft until late Aug ,near the end of pre season
No problem with the warning system where we all log back in week before draft

3 leagues of 12 sounds good, if we had 28 players last year then we only need a few more...i'd be happy to take a second team if needed

last year we did the draft at 6pm on the first sunday in september iirc, that would be the 2nd this year (which just happens to my birthday cake so you'll have to let me pick who i want thumbsup )

If we were to go with 3 divisions with promotion / relegation it would be better to only have 1 team each

Alll of us who want to run 2 teams could keep either East or West running as a sperate league

Pretty much agree with this. We have a decent core to make up the league, no issue with renewing the leagues as they stand or going to the 3 12 team leagues (or 3 10 team leagues if we get a few less players this year - which is pretty doubtful). I'm very much in favour of crazy_dave23 running the page again. Very nice analysis and kept regularly up to date which was great!

Haven't been around a lot because of exams, but will definitely be joining in again this year! I thought I had the dream team last year until I was derailed with McFadden missing the last 8 games of the year :|

I'll be in again. I will be looking to keep my regular season run going. Forget the play offs as they don't matter...

I didn't lose a regular season game after week 3 and have an unbeaten regular season run of 10 games going.

I find leagues with more teams in better as it is harder to pick up decent free agents so the draft (especially the later picks) becomes even more important. I like the 14 team league but 12 teams should be the minimum.

I think we should keep the league going as we have a strong core of 10 or so players
If we also have 606 divisions 1/2/3 most of us would play more than 1 league anyway

Anyway I will be looking to keep my regular season run going. Forget the play offs as they don't matter... OK Wink

Totally agree it should be 12 or 14 players

There will be something slightly nearer the time.
There is a slight urge (at least from me!) to avoid the situation from last year where we had a very early sign up versus the late draft time and subsequently had a couple of inactive teams.

As long as you have a nosey around the board you should spot any formal signup and as we are potentially looking to expand up to 3 leagues there should be space even if your not on the board on the day its up Smile

If we keep the East & West Leagues [My preference is yes]
Both leagues will probably need 3 replacement players , ours certainly
2 or 3 were not active , so there will be spaces open Sodhat
There will also probably be a new league if there are enough new players or people who wish to play multiple leagues [Or Divisions as has been suggested]

We could do something along the lines you advocated C_Dave sign up now but have to register 1-2 weeks before draft

I have found out that I can transfer my team over to my new nfl.com account once this league is reactivated.

Has anyone else had a look at the new nfl.com draft centre yet?

Would anyone be interested in playing in a dynasty or keeper league?

Dynasty league = where you keep your whole roster after 1st draft , only draft rookies after that
Keeper league = where you keep a certain number of players each season
I.D.P. = Independent defence players as opposed to selecting just a team D like normal
Cheers

Check that link out cherries. I really like the idea of dynasty, but am not sure if we would have the numbers to sustain a league, which is the whole point I guess!

I think we could get 12 serious players willing to give it a go
