Interesting stuff going down on 606v2
Just a quick Friday update to let you know about some of the exciting developments happening in some of the sections this week.
Firstly, we have two great competitions on the go.
You can win a signed South Africa rugby jersey courtesy of Canterbury clothing - https://www.606v2.com/t19444-win-a-sa-rugby-shirt-signed-by-bryan-habana
You can also win a Puma Kinetic 5000 cricket bat (RRP £260.00) courtesy of Barrington sports - https://www.606v2.com/t19445-barrington-sports-partnership-and-competition
Elsewhere, the Amazon shop is now up and running - https://www.606v2.com/t18921-the-amazon-shop-is-open-again - after a slight delay. Make sure to get all your Xmas shopping there!
A great debate is still going on over the BBC sports personality of the year - https://www.606v2.com/t19207-bbc-sports-personality-of-the-year
Over the next few days we will be announcing the winners of the 606v2 awards so thank you all for voting.
Enjoy your weekends!

Just to second that, thanks for the cracking debate that has taken place on the 606v2 Awards threads and the BBC SPOTY thread.
Looking forward to your competition entries.

Any chance you could make the SPOY a sticky/announcement again?? Otherwise it's a bit hard to find and not as smooth/easy for casual reading and posting.

Don't be mean Union.
'Other Sports' is a largely unvisited section, generating c.700 posts only (excl. SPOY) therefore hiding it away there it'll never get seen therefore debate will tail right off.
I could be wrong, but if you measure view and post volume and frequency before and after moving it to the Other Sports graveyard I think you'll notice a big drop-off in interest.

It was always in the Other Sports "graveyard" it's just no longer a global announcement, seeing as anyone who wanted to join in the debate will probably already have posted on the thread they will be able to find it by clicking on "MyPosts".TopHat24/7 wrote:Don't be mean Union.

Alex has a point when it was a global announcement I was always reading it and occasionally posting on it. Since it was removed from being a sticky I haven't even read it.

You'll understand that we can't have too many globals running at once though fellas. It clogs up the sections somewhat.
That thread was a global for nigh on a week which is a decent amount of time, so it's time for it to take a bit of a back seat now whilst we run a couple of fantastic competitions.
It isn't ideal but we need to manage them to stop overcrowding.

Fair enough I went and had a look at it. I never knew that's where it had been moved to so I'm happy now.

Me. Every time. Not at all interested in what the plebs are saying. Want to see my posts and their reactions.

Just a reminder that the Barrington Sports competition for a cricket bat ends Wednesday morning, so get your entries in prior to then please.
A great Christmas present, even if it isn't for yourself.

Bonjourno!
The people of Monza would like to extend an invite to our 606v2 family to the motorsport board and join our Fantasy F1 event.
It's all free and good fun. I'd like to think there will be plenty of banter as the season unfolds!

Hope to see you all on it!
If you are unsure about F1 I can advise who to pick (Alonso) and who to avoid (Hamilton) and give you expert insight into the wonderful F1 circus!
Forza Fantasy F1!
