So then people what really annoys you.

No matter how gig or trivial it is, this is the thread to vent your anger and annoyance.

I shall start this with:

Starburst. They are not Starburst, they are Opel Fruits and always will be. And don't get me started on Snickers. STOP CHANGING THE NAME OF SWEETS!!!!

As you tell I'm perfectly happy with it! (Though I argee on people who know don't know you ) And yes, I've been called every variation under the sun as well.

What really irks me though is people calling me by my surname, and spelling it wrong.

Dave.

When your surname is very rare that a) the only famous person with it is an Australian singer (The Band Played Waltzing Matilda) and b) the only time it has been featured on TV was as the second part of the estate in Monarch of the Glen, believe me, it would!

^ Expanding on that point.

You're walking down a busy shopping centre, lets say for example The Trafford Centre, and you're walking towards your favourite shop at a good pace. But then, the person walking in front of you STOPS... for about 5 seconds, breaking your stride so you have to stop yourself, then walk around the moron.

When a menu says that something comes with crispy bacon, and you order it only for the bacon to arrive in a less than crispy state. In fact, 'barely cooked' would more aptly describe the condition of this bacon.

So you start shoving the machine and banging on the side of it and rocking it and cursing at it because, you know, this is nothing short of automated godamn theft!!!! Then you realise that the realy good looking blonde girl has just walked past the brew room and seen you windmilling an inanimate object and babbling like a lunatic
Doh

People that say "Oh I'm not going to tell you what I'm doing tomorrow". Good - I couldn't care less. But then proceed to tell you anyway.

People that speak nonsense without knowing what they are talking about.

Starbucks/Costa Coffee/other coffee chains (but especially Starbucks)

Why have such ridiculous names for your poncy overpriced drinks? If someone walked in and asked for 'a coffee, please', what would happen? No, I don't want a tw@tuccino, I don't want a p!ssfl@puccino, I just want a coffee. And I don't want it latte. I want it now.

Remember when Starbucks were in the newspapers for leaving the tap running all day?

'Stop wasting water!' everybody rightly cried. For me, the best way they could stop wasting water is to stop using it to make their godawful drinks.

What else? Some travellers wind me up.

'I've been to XX amount of countries.' (Well done you.)
'I'm wearing a Same Same But Different/Beerlao/Chairman Mao t-shirt so that everyone knows I've been to Thailand/Lao/China.' (Nobody cares.)
'We went to xxxxx and it was so untouristy.' (Nice work, Shackleton.)

Noisy eating and drinking. Slurping, smacking lips, grinding the knife on the plate but mostly biting the fork.

Teaching colleagues from non-native English speaking countries (Holland, Israel, France, U.S.A) who tell me I don't speak English correctly, even though I'm from England. Maybe my Midlands accent is not what they're used to but it's how some English people speak their own language.

BMW 'Mini' drivers who used to flash their lights and wave at me as I drove past in my real Mini.

Overuse of TV catchphrases... 'want that one', 'this is a local shop for local people', 'kiss my face', 'that really grinds my gears' etc.

Forgetting what else winds me up and knowing it'll come to me later is quite annoying too.

Tardiness.

Nothing to do with Dr Who or the Handicapped - I am talking people who are late.

Yesterrday, I told my inlaws that my BBQ would be ready at 4pm. They called at 3pm to check the time. I asked them to bring rolls. They turned up at 4.45 without the rolls.

Frikkin' useless.

My wife also has a friend who is always late - 20 minutes, 40 minutes sometimes over an hour. I keep telling my wife to go and meet her late but she refuses but then moans that shes always late.

If you are always late, leave earlier.
