The Galea one is a bad one, him and Green missing thats 2 of our better playmakers missing for a bad opening month (game's wise). Should be intresting to see who starts against Leeds now.

I think Murrell will start at 6 Withers at 9 (unless Hodgson does recover ) and probably Horne in the second row .

Further reports suggest Galea could be out for 3 - 4 weeks and Beaumont could be out 3 months at least .

Forgot to mention Craig Hall was the surprise choice at stand off on sunday , he had a decent game by all accounts scored a try and set up another .

Not sure Sandercock will go with him against Leeds though thats why i think Murrell will get the nod , but you never know Sandercock seems to have his own ideas

Perhaps its time to stop 13 a side pre season friendlys , and play a 7 a side or 9 a side competition involving all Super League clubs, in which over the whole competition they must play all 25 first team squad players.
The Championship sides could set up there competition if they feel the need.

I think something needs to be done

St Helens dont usually play any preseason games and they always make the GF so are they really needed ?

From what i've read Hall was very good at stand off, but like you i think he'll be back on the wing v Leeds.
Pack is strong enough to cope i think, Green's is the major concern.
As for friendlys, not sure. We've only really had 2 for the first team and look what's happened. Quite a few of the injuries for teams have happened during training which you can't legistate for.

Paea and Mika have looked very good from what i have been told and read so yes i would agree the pack looks ok .

Green will be missed no doubt about it , a mate of mine helps with the academy team and he says Bell is training with the 1st team on set moves . Will Bell or Hall be risked though against Leeds at stand off ? it would definately show Sandercock is his own man , just wish it was the tv game you would of thought it would of been .

As i've said before would like to see Bell play, so yes would start him. It's suprising how strong our pack is looking, when all fit could be intresting to see who he picks.
Reason not on tv is simply because they always show the promoted teams 1st game, and then with Salford & Saints new stadiums bound to be on. Though agree, it's a rubbish weekend for tv games, What with Widnes and Salfordgames on. But the 2 better games (ourselves v Leeds, Hull v Warrington) not.

The pack if fully fit is interesting especially with the reduced subs this year will we have more forwards on the bench ? i suppose with Horne and Lovegrove they could cover the centres aswell

With the RFL purchase of Odsal wouldn't that be an ideal stadium to hold a future pre season 7 and 9s competition.

They have talked about it for years , turning Odsal into the Wembley of the North . If improved it could certainly host a lot of prestigous games

After further tests it looks like Ben Galea could be out for upto 3 months . Micheal Dobson is said to be the favourite to take over as captain .
