League form is not always the best indicator of possible progression in the summer but the Dubs dont look like the real deal so far.
Is it
1. The hangover from last years commitments
2. The Dubs can only get up for Croker [this year]
3. An indication that while they may be in the not bad category they dont deserve the serious consideration this year.
I would argue against 3 given the poor state of the other Leinster counties the Dubs have plenty of time to fix things.

I'd save any criticism for after the summer this year to be honest. That'll be the real test for the current All Ireland Football champs Wink

It's the league, I don't think the Dubs will be as good but sure, Mayo and Donegal always used to do great in the league and shoite when it mattered. Peroformances or adapting a style of play are what matters now. Cork Hurlers look to be making a bit of prgress though

What an idiotic article. Did you think Cork were one season wonders last year, Armagh when they won it? Its pretty hard to defened sam theese days but I wouldnt expect anyone from Down to know that, Dublin won the all Ireland last year and are current all Ireland champions the sooner you deal with that the less bitter you will become.

Down surely define 1 season if not 1 decade wonders.

As I said earlier, it's the league. It makes feic all difference. Dublin will be very competitive, they mightn't retain it (It hasn't been retained since Kerry in 07) but they will do a good job. Should beat Louth comfortably.

Perhaps being a little better informed regarding which counties have won titles and when might have put you in a position for a reasoned argument.
A little study may indicate that with the exception of Kerry most counties that do claim Sam do so in short bursts. Examples

Galway in the 60's and late 90's early 2000's
Meath late 80's
Tyrone 2000's.

Even the Dubs have won only 7 titles since the 60's.
