On August 10, 2012:
According to the BBC Weather News, It looks like being a sunny, warm and dry final few days for most of the Olympic event venues with temperatures in the mid 20s and possibly up to the high 20s and staying fine through into the evening.

The weather will play a vital role for sailors and windsurfers at this summer's Olympic games and winds are expected to freshen up over the weekend with variable conditions over Weymouth. Good weather for sailors and also comfortable for spectators. Very Happy

Here in Cardiff, it's partly cloudy with a maximum temperature of around 23 degrees today, and it's looking to go up to 25 at the weekend. I'm not looking forward to that as I can't stand the heat, but at least it's cooler at night so I can sleep.

I'm envious of your weather now. It looks so nice on the coast and at the venues.

We've had a terrible day. Huge cold front with gale force winds. Snow on the western plains and tablelands which only happens once or twice a year. It's only weakening now. However, I saw some 22s in the forecast for next week so I'll have to wait for then.

Cool in Sydney about 16 degrees but 13.4 now.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday should be 21, 22 and 21 respectively so not too bad for the end of winter. Very Happy

It was very humid and hot yesterday. About three o'clock this morning I was woken up by torrential rain. When it stopped, I went back to sleep and was woken up about six this morning by thunder in the distance. We needed a storm though, it's much more bearable and pleasant now.

21 degrees here now. The sky has that warmer look about it and there's a sort of silvery-green shimmering look about the trees.

It actually got a little warmer than 21 degs... 24-25 at Richmond. Warmest day since May 11 this year. Very Happy

Had to go over to Mum's place at lunch to apply some silicone in some gaps in the eaves.

As I was walking around the side I heard this quick rustle... probably a blue tongued lizard. First sign of spring is when they emerge from their hibernation. Also when snakes start to come out looking for a nice spot in the sun.

Just back from breakfast at Bronte. Heavenly ocean and lots of beautiful people walking their pooches. Everyone smiling and friendly... and looking very fit . Around 20 degrees today but I hear it may snow across the ranges in central NSW later today. Luckily we avoid all of that freezing cold weather here by the sea.

It's been very humid and heavy here, despite the wind. It's been raining heavily on and off, and I think I heard some thunder yesterday evening. It seems to have passed over now and it's just cloudy with the sun trying to come through. Also a bit cooler thankfully. Hopefully it'll stay dry.

It's been a nice day today, sunny and pleasantly warm. Can't quite believe it's proper dark at 21.10 though. And the heather is just starting to turn. The first signs that autumn is on its way.
