Skyrim
First topic message reminder :
Anybody still playing this? I recently started again after losing my save and have decided to use nothing but magic. Just completed Bleak falls barrow so the first thing I'm doing is all the side quests.

Re: Skyrim
I mainly use the slow time shout, and basically run around hacking at everyone , there is no tactical element to my fighting at all
Azzy if you do the Companions quest line you might not get the well tested bonus for a wee while
You can go to the Greybeards and the head one, cant remember his name will give you a shout location which is handy

Re: Skyrim
I finished the Silver Hand mission last night, I'm on to the final Companions mission now - have just activated the Wuuthrad statue and I'm going in...
Unfortunately I forgot to sell all my stuff before going in, so I'm already at full capacity
Also, when the Circle decides to go to the Temple of Wuuthrad or whatever it is, why do they decide to run there rather than horse it? I ran the entire way with Vilkas, killed a dragon, two trolls and a host of ice wolves and ice mages. The other two were miles behind us

I don't know why, I fast travel to wherever and usually get slightly nervous that they won't make it, they usually do.
I'm doing the Dragonborn DLC and have just met another Dragonborn! Crikey

Re: Skyrim
I have 702 items in the small drawer on the left hand side of Breezehome, I have included multiples.
It includes 41 bits of Dragon Bone, 37 bits of Dragon Scale. 5 different coloured Dragons Claws.
702.
That Dragonborn guy turned up after I'd killed a Dragon just now and knicked the soul off me. Am I allowed to swear?

Re: Skyrim
Yeah the Dragonborn one is meant to be worth it , the others maybe not so much.
Dragonborn has given me new shouts and a new area Solthsiem. Some new races included some wee gremlin / janette krankie types
To be honest if they'd said buy this it will mean you can wear orange trousers I might have bought it

Yeah it does, on my initial stroll through the island the locations seem quite a bit closer together than in Skyrim.
Its 6 pound odds on PSN, half price for the first week.
I'm hoping there maybe some other races that look like 80s comics.

Re: Skyrim
I levelled up to Level 34 last night, put it on stamina as that last Companions quest showed me how rubbish I am at hand-to-hand fighting once I've done a couple of power attacks...put the skill increase on to one of the enchanting perks, as I'm striving to get me some ace (self-created) magic armour.
Now my agenda is:
1. Sort out all my items, get me down to about 220/350 on carrying weight.
2. Spend the money I raise on one-handed training from the Companions guy.
3. Go back to Sky Haven Temple and find the treasure room (missed it when I was there)
4. Start the Thieves Guild quest line
Any other good ideas?[/quote]

I'm currently working my way through the Dark Brotherhood quest line at the moment, enjoyed my time stuck in a coffin with a mummified corpse.

Thieves was pretty good, Companions has the nice but obvious twist, bards is too short, would like a ranger type one though.

Re: Skyrim
My thinking for doing the Thieves Guild quest line is that my sneaking is about 15, and pickpocketing about 17, so any quick levelling up will help me get up to Level 35/36, allowing me to get a couple more perks I'm after...shouldn't be too difficult!

Re: Skyrim
I never pickpocket. Tbh, I haven't really levelled sneak that much doing it either. I'm cruising it in full heavy orcish armor lol.

Re: Skyrim
I'm similar GSC, I don't really relish the prospect of becoming a part-time thief, but those quick level ups could really help.

Re: Skyrim
Best way to level up sneak I find is to go into a dungeon where draugr are sleeping, get naked and creep around. Sneak attacking while they're asleep is due a skill point per attack at low sneak levels.

Re: Skyrim
Or, if you're prude, do the first DB quest to get the armor that gives you bonuses to sneak, and sneak attack.

Re: Skyrim
Whenever I shoot deer, wolves, rabbits, foxes etc I always to sneak archery, which I guess must be how I got so high in the first place.
I'm not wanting to spend any unnecessary time levelling up my sneaking, as it's worthless to me, but I want to do the Thieves Guild line so that it'll go up a bit (plus the £££ will come in handy)

Well what a treat my return to Skyrim was. Forgot just how amazing that game is. Although, when you become great at archery and have a decent follower, the game becomes quite easy.

Re: Skyrim
I played for 90mins last night, here's what I got done:
- sold loads of gear
- made loads of potions and sold them (increased alchemy by 2 levels)
- went to Sky Haven Temple and raided the treasure room
- enchanted the blades armour and other weapons (increased enchanting by one level to 96)
- spent 20mins doing smithing (increased smithing by 3 levels)
That's it. And I didn't even get to Level 35

Re: Skyrim
Your enchanting is 96? What sort of damage does that do?
I made level 54 last night, once you are past 50 its takes an age to level up.
I solved the vampire problem in Morthal which was good.
I think I might go after the Dragon Priests' masks, I have about 4 of them and would quite like the set. Have to dip into the interweb though to find out where they are.

Agree on the crossbow, wow the damage from that is great, need to get some better bolts for it now though. Had a real collection of glass, eleven and dwarf arrows but only got steel bolts.
