I'm on my last nerve already!! Utd are a bit fortunate to be drawing as it's evident that Real are better across the park but I think Utd's superior team spirit will be rewarded in the end. I'd take Rafael off at the break though because he's looking liable. I thought he was up to the challenge of tonight; I was wrong.

1-1, advantage United. De Gea magnificent to keep Madrid largely at bay. Plenty of chances for United, whilst not all were taken, it gives them encouragement for the 2nd leg.

Tie should be over, so many missed chances for united that we could regret.

Lessons should be learnt here - no more kagawa.

Good result for United, and I hope they finish the job at Old Trafford.

Ronaldo got up early, not much Evra could have done. Credit to him on the leap, then the placement.

I'm hoping the second leg explodes into action, need Madrid to get an early away goal so that Manchester United have to attack. I felt after all the build up, last night's game was actually quite poor, United were too happy to let Madrid attack. The second leg could be similar if Madrid don't get an early goal which will force United out of their shells.

Thought it was a good game, both in terms of quality and tactics.

We absorbed Madrids attacks first half and picked them off second half. Tie should be over, missed some big chances we could live to regret.

I think last night showed that the current Man Utd team is rather good, especially compared to this current Real team which is very good. Utd are still in it after the first leg which is all I could have asked for.

Think we should be ahead by at least a goal and may regret it.

Concede first in this tie and it becomes a major ballache at home with needing to score but knowing conceding another leaves us needing 3.

Bayern Munich have been insane this season, scoring 57 and conceding just 7 in 22 Bundesliga games, and losing just 1. Somehow though, I have a feeling Arsenal are going to get through it, rise up in adversity, just like Chelsea last year and Liverpool in '05. 1-0 Arsenal tonight!

I don't think Arsenal have that 1 outstanding player to get them through the games when they are up against it. We had Carragher and Gerrard in 05, Chelsea had numerous players last season.

Who can Arsenal really look to for inspiration?

Wilshere is key for me for Arsenal, I felt for a long time that he was overrated but he's shown time and time again his quality this year. I can't see Arsenal getting anything from this game though, 2-0 Bayern and I think it'll be ruthlessly efficient.

I can't see anywhere on the field where Arsenal are obviously better than Bayern, even in the midfield. I think Arsenal have a great midfield when it works but unfortunately for them, I think they're up against the 2nd best midfield in club football (better than Real, not as good as Barca).

Who is Arsenal's LB tonight? If Monreal is cup tied and Gibbs is still injured then who does that leave them with?

Bayern are terrific, just the subtle movements to get channels and space for others to run in is fabulous to watch.

I think they'll win the whole competition. They really look the most complete team in Europe at the moment and have a better squad depth than recent years. Ok, the defence looks shaky (and this isn't the first choice defence tonight) but which team looks like they have a good defence this year?

Arsenal can't play without the ball, simple really.

Like I said, Arsenal don't have any stand out players to inspire them. Wilshire is a good player but he isn't at the level were he can drag his team through a game.

There are a few in this Bayern team that have a tendency to go missing on the big occasion. They remain a very good team, but I wouldn't read too many conclusions into what was a fairly routine win.

Bayern are a very good team no doubt, but to me this was more a distinctly poor Arsenal performance. Munich did the job but Arsenal didn't exactly make it hard for them.

At least Arsenal can turn their attention to winning the league...oh....at least they've still got a chance at the domestic cups...oh, no....top 4? Even that is looking increasingly likely to get away from them.

Bayern despite being the second best team in Europe do struggle at times away from home. 1-0 Basel last season before winning 7-0 at home, 3-1 Bate before putting 5 past them at home, only winning 1-0 at Lille before slotting six past them at home. So they will be delighted to have won 3-1, i think you could see a horrible beating in Germany.

Well Arsenal are out then, but if ITV's highlights are anything to go by, they didn't play that badly. Scoring 3 in Germany? No chance.

From what I saw Barca were really poor. Not just by their standards, but poor in general. When was the last time they played like that? I didn't think Milan were good enough to trouble them so I stand corrected. The Nou Camp will be a different story though...

Looks like both Real Madrid and Barcelona going out with United going through.

Barca could well turn them over in 3 weeks.
