If you are already a member, unfortunately, it doesnt make much difference but thanks for the question.

They are interested in seeing if we can generate new members for them and return would offer us exclusives if we get enough numbers.

We have a couple of interviews coming on the football podcast - this Thursday it's Gavin Rae (Thanx Adam) and next week we have Jamie Lawrence - both should really interesting chats

Jamie Lawrence plays for a side near me. I believe he plays for Lingfield FC, wow i would love to be on that podcast, got a fair few questions to ask him about non league football and about his Bradford days!

You manage to get everything set up for recording OK Nick?

Yep. All sorted. Did a test record on audacity and played around with the editing at the weekend making an intro. We're doing another test before we record for real tomorrow. I think we're both recording it and I'll cut it together when I get his recording emailed to me.

Hi Nick - its up on the journal but I wasnt able to add anything or promote it in any way due to being late for work!

Got this ready to listen to on the way home tonight - Adam sent me the link a couple of days ago but been too busy to get round to it! Don't have a very in depth NHL knowledge so hoping this will address that.

If you ever cover any British hockey and need an extra pair of hands I'd be happy to help out too!

It's not brilliant but it's our first effort. We don't go too in depth but I've only been watching for just over 3 years anyway and my knowledge isn't that great. It's mainly the minor league and CHL players I don't know too much about other than the top guys.

Would love to cover British hockey. I need to do a lot of research on it though. I can watch highlights on Sky and possibly go to Coventry games when I visit my Dad.

I'm talking to someone on another forum about joining as an extra host and you might think that's a good idea after hearing this later! Lol

It'll be a lot better when we have some actual hockey to talk about. 2 weeks until training camp!

I would recommend giving a bit of a write up to it each week, which I can post on the site.

Also - would you like a v2journal email address and make it a bit more official - you could then use that to approach guests?

I could do something like the football and A.football guys do. I think a v2 email address will be good. I appreciate all you've done so far.

Once the season is going I'd be up for writing some NHL stuff for the journal too. Obviously depending on number of listeners/posters on the hockey board here.

I might be able to join you in future weeks, I have a hectic fortnight starting now ending with a cricket match on 14 September - after that life becomes somewhat normal. I'd certainly be able to chip in with some journal writing (I've mentioned it to Adam before). By the way, who's the Oiler fan you have on the podcast?

He's called Junaid Hussain. We know each other from twitter. He writes NFL and some NHL for 1am Sports.

This week we're doing the Atlantic, then Central next week and if you're free around the 17th/18th/19th we'll be doing the Pacific that week which you probably know more about than me and my East coast bias.

Probably do a training camp/preseason/any injuries review on the 25th and then we'll probably record our first show of the regular season the day after opening night.

What do I need? Just Skype? And a brain?

Starting to write my review of the NHL offseason over the weekend coinciding with training camp starting on Wednesday and preseason starting next weekend.

When it's done who should I send it to for a decision to publish it or not?
