Basically I am old.

Older than Rowley (in actual years maybe not attitude). Thats pretty old.

Anyway, some of these new fangled apps like bebo and Friends Reunited are really confusing me.

So I thought I would post this thread for anyone who doesnt understand something, to be able to post and after receiving the de-rigeur mocking answers, actually getting to the bottom of some of these issues.

So here is my first one about the book of Face.

What is a poke?

I had a random poke from someone who appeared at Wrestlemania I and I don't know what I should do!

Alert the authorities because they are clearly a predator.

And I've always considered a poke to be a creepy way of getting someone's attention when you have nothing to say.

You have two options:

Poke back, or post something on their wall.
Ignore the poke.

its the virtual equivalent of the playground classic of punching someone in the arm then running away in order to garner attention...

As is throwing sheep

I have a FB friend who has a regular competition - first to poke him back gets a pint. That's friendship.
