Elvis used to do a song in his live set in the Seventies called Never Been to Spain, within the song it confirmed a number of places where Presley had not been, Spain inevitably being one of them. From memory he also mentioned London. Will check when I get home but am fairly sure Fingringhoe was not mentioned so cannot provide any definitive information on whether Elvis has been there or not.

I'm sure he would've played there on the Colchester '74 tour.

I drove past Fingringhoe last weekend on my way to Colchester.

It was grey, wet and a little bit slippery.

Þetta er enginn þar nálægt eins skemmtilegt og Reykjavíkur þráð. Hverjum er ekki sama um Fingringhoe.

May get that but seen it a few times. There is one about Patton with Luke skywalker in it that I want to watch but can never find it.

If you're up for a mini-series I recommend Band Of Brothers and The Pacific.

I've already watched Bastogne 4 times this year and my missus deleted the first 2 episodes even though she denies it. I have the pacific and have only watched it once this year

Loved Band of Brothers but could not get into the Pacific, just seemed the same thing in a different location and did not find myself caring about the characters in the same way I did with Band Of Brothers. If you want a slightly different world war two film Das Boot is good, but bleeding long.
