Champions League final thread

Post by Good Golly I'm Olly on Sat 24 May 2014, 12:43 pm

First topic message reminder :

7:45pm. Lisbon. Madrid Derby

Doesn't get much bigger than this!

Benzema and Pepe doubts for Real, appears Costa may make it for Atletico

I can't call it, I hope Atletico do it for not only our resident Madrid fan Kia, but also to top off a fairytale season.

Can't beat a bit of champions league anthem

Bollox. Had Ronaldo headed that (after having an average game) he'd be lauded a genius.

Don't worry Thibaut. Petr might let you look at his winners medal next season.

I have never, nor have I seen, Chelsea fans say that. History means a lot.

But I said next season. And next season they'll both be 0-0 by that standard.

The loss of Costa and Turan really hurt Atletico, no counter attack threat

Because David Beckham's 2 brain cells went into spasm which resulted in him kicking the Argentine which resulted in Beckham getting sent off therefor ending England's World Cup dream in 1998.

Hence the Simeone hate from this country.

Atletico best side in Europe but not best squad, finally ran out of steam.

disappointed in Atletico tonight. Negative tactics, a lot of niggly fouls, and senseless time-wasting all second half (which thankfully came back to bit them in the @rse). Also, Simeone acted like a real jerk.

Shame as they really impressed me in the semi-finals. Their performance at the Bridge one of the best I've seen. But Real completely deserved it tonight, welll done them clap.
