Watchdogs
Has anyone played this yet? It's got mixed reviews around the net, some saying the city of Chicago is amazing and you really immerse yourself in to it but the storyline apparently is a mess.

Re: Watchdogs
I've had an hour on it at a friend's house. It's a decent game but I think it's a bit stuck in Grand Theft Auto's shadow. I will get it, but not at the price it is now, I'll wait for it to drop to £25 or so.

Re: Watchdogs
Got the game on the release date, It's pretty fun to play at the minute though haven't dived into the whole game fully yet. I have no problem with the story, quite like it at the minute but then again I prefer games with a narrative.
The ability to hack everything is really good and fun, though it does have questionable game-play designs such as when you are in a car chase you can't shoot from the window or anything thus having to ram your car into the enemy or be create with what you have around you. Another issue with at the minute I would say is the driving mechanics don't feel as fluid and smooth as say GTA but I may get use to that as the game progress.
Though so far it isn't too bad and sure the graphics aren't great like we were shown at E3 last year but it was kinda expected to see it like that, still would say so far its a fun enjoyable experience however will have to judge it at the end of the actual game.
Some missions also feel like the TV show Person Of Interest which is pretty awesome being a fan of the show.

Re: Watchdogs
Game is great. Got it on release day. Stuck it in after work and have played about 14 hours of game time. It sucks you in and before you know it 4 hours have gone by.
Re: Watchdogs
Played this for the first time last night, visually it is stunning. The game play and the hacking is OK, I'm sure it'll get better as the game goes on. However the controls seem clunky and non responsive compared to GTA V, it's a shame as they had so long to get the game right and even delayed it seems like they've rushed some of the important parts.

Which version do you have Hampo because you said visually its stunning which I disagree strongly on. Graphics are appalling compared to what was shown at E3.

Re: Watchdogs
What console are you on Bull? I admit it's not as good looking as teased but when is anything?
I read a review that was impressed by the realism of the rain and night time on the Xbox One. I experienced that this morning as I was sneaking around killing the Viceroys. It's great.
Apparently if you stand in the street and look as far as you can you can see further into the distance on Xbox One.

Oh I didn't know that since I'm yet to get a next gen console. Haha I'm on the PS3 CFC how about you?
I'm guessing being on the previous gen is most likely why the graphics are underwhelming. I wouldn't say they are bad just average especially the cars which look a tad bit blocky. Well I thought the last two games I played were good as they were teased but I know what you mean.

I'm on Xbox One.
I think the cars look good. And the detail on clothes and faces is good.

Re: Watchdogs
Yeah I see. No issues with the faces and clothes I think that looks fine but the cars on the PS3 version anyway look terrible compared to like what was show at E3 and what we saw with GTA. It does make you question though why couldn't they manage to get it up to what we saw in GTA since the power is defo there.

Started playing earlier. Looks good so far but haven't really played it to comment whether it's good or not

Re: Watchdogs
It certainly isn't as friendly a sandbox type as GTA. I don't really feel like I can pick it up and play for a little bit when bored, it really draws in your time and effort. I've only played a bit, some of it I find to be nonsense but other parts are pretty cool.

Motorbikes are more responsive to drive than cars on this that's for sure.

Re: Watchdogs
Given people have now had time to play what are peoples thoughts?
I enjoyed it at first but for me it got kind of boring pretty quickly, some of the missions can be down right annoying as well and need luck more than skill to complete

Re: Watchdogs
I got this at the weekend.
Immediately I felt it was GTA without a soul. Yes its got plenty of nice things going on it but it lacks the great characters and humour of GTA. Currently doing the Alone stuff which I'm preferring to the main game!

Ah well, traded it in in the end, Just wasn't feeling it at all. All the hype before its release and it just never really lived up to any of it
Got £32 in Game though which is only £8 less than I paid for it

Re: Watchdogs
If I trade it in whatever I get will be that amount more than what I paid. Had a gift card from selling my 360.
