Woman refs..........REALLY?

Don't know if this has been covered but watched Kovalev v Caparello last night and saw a female ref stewarding the fight. Its a first for me can't recall a fight reffed by a woman.

Is anyone worried about this?

Refs have a hard job and an important one. Knowing when to step in can be the difference between life or death. Not saying a woman is not up to it but boxing is a primal instinct sport can a woman recognise tell tell signs that fighters will give off when hurt?

From the psycho girlfriends who've given me a good kicking down the years, I'd say they know when they have a guy hurt.

Think it could be a good thing, the incessant nagging to stop holding might be more effective than the occasional warning. I have visions of Bhop turning round to the ref and saying 'ok, ok I'll fight clean just shut the f**k up, please'

Cannot fathom why they couldn't be every bit as good/bad as men.

Though CJ Ross hasn't exactly helped further their cause as officials.......

2 or 3 major fights in a row her scoring was inexcusably shocking.

I didnt know CJ Ross or Adalaide Byrd where women for years.....

As long as the dinner is on the table and the pots are washed.....Women can referee anything they want..
