Pulev and his refusal to pay fees
He fights Wlad tommorow but has refused to pay fess to WBO and WBA therefore he can only win the IBF title
Do you think more fighters should do this

If I was him I'd refuse to pay any of them... His money to the Ibf would be better spent on a lottery ticket.

Good for him. If he won they'd only strip him anyway.

Yes I do, I also think the very top men in their respective divisions should ditch the daft belts (Super, diamond, best teamaker) declare very loudly that they're the best and push for fights with the top and up and coming stars.
I also think (but we'll never see it) that TV companies should start lamenting how many daft belts there are and pundits should be saying why X. Y. Z are the top men in their divisions.

Fat chance of that. In fact, the complete opposite is true. We see contenders with numerous belts draped over their shoulders not to mention them being referred to add as champion. Silver champion. Inter continental champion.
The whole thing is ridiculous.

Agreed with Milky. While its great that Pulev took a stand, he should have went the whole way and refused the IBF too. Wlad is the heavyweight barometer. If you beat him, you wont need a belt, the world will know. If like Pulev your chances are slim, why hand over some of your purse? Chances are he'll earn every penny for the straight rights his head will be taking tonight.

yeah but I suppose he thought if he didn't pay the IBF fee he would lose his mandatory slot and therefore Wlad would not have been forced to fight him

I don't think Pulev is making some sort of moral stand, he's not paying the fees because he (and/or his management) doesn't believe he'll win.

Smart on His part. He loses, then at least he didn't waste some rather needless money, he wins, then there are some lucrative "unification" bouts in his future.
