Pacquiao v Algeri LIVE
Who's staying up for this? Was gonna go to bed inbetween Bellew/Cleverly and get up but, despite time being lineal, it has skipped to 1 am before its time, so an all nighter is in order. A few cans of relentless and I'll be doing clap push ups for the next couple of hours, with the occasional break in which I scrawl the names of strangers I hate on the wall in my own blood.
I shall lower a unicorn's hair into a vile of putrid liquid, and the colour it turns to will tell me the outcome of the fight.

Just saw an interesting piece on Algeri, he's also a former undefeated kickboxing world champion.

Im not going to stay up. Pacquiao to win but looking past it doing so seems the margin call these days. How was the Matchroom card? Im reading Cleverly fought most of the fight injured?

It was a terrible fight. Cleverly jabbed for the first 6/7 rounds and offered nothing else. Bellew attempted to throw a variety of shots but couldn't land anything meaningful. By round 9, Cleverly was absolutely spent and just spent all of his time on the ropes. Bellew tried to land some bombs but couldn't get any levarage.
Poor fight, I'd give it a 3/10. Clev didn't look interested and Bellew failed to deliver.

Is it true Algieri still lives in his parents' basement?
I feel like I could talk to him about star wars for hours and not get bored.

Well I doubt Hearn will get mileage out of a ppv for a trilogy then. From what Im reading the card was a disappointment even by regular standards.

Nice little fight developing here between Vargas and DeMarco - the former looking bit too big for DeMarco atm.

I'd like to see Vargas v Matthysse and Provodnikov at the same time.

Hahahaha, Shiming put his gloves behind his back and stuck his chin out. Mini Manny responded by hitting him on the chin.

Pacquiao officially scores a knockdown, but it was fairly obvious Algieri in fact slipped in a puddly of his own urine while backing up.

Jeez what a beatdown. Congratulations to Algieri for picking the right trainers. I know mine would have had holes in them from all that sideways and backward running.
Magnificent performance from Pacquiao. Algieri obviously isn't exactly Thomas Hearns, but he's a decent fighter, a world champion the division below, and probably better than Ríos, and Manny just took him to the shed. Massive improvement from Paccy. Is the Filipino Buzzsaw back?

This is what I'm talking about.................Moans about Floyd beating turds like Maidana.................and then Manny beats some garbage who had his eye shut and scraped past a face first brawler at a weight SEVEN pounds underneath welter...
and Manny is the greatest..
What a T*T !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Floyd saw off Maidana. Pacquiao absolutely dismantled Algieri. I think one is more innately impressive than the other

Algieri is as good as Maidana is he ??...............Beaten JMM and Ortiz types ??
Might as well say Hatton is wonderful for beating MAUSSA who beat Vivian harris.......Although at least Maussa wasn't moving up 7 pounds...
Stop making a fool of yourself..

Your worse than D4 Mate..
Algieri is the worst 140 champion since Tyoshi Hamada......Scraped past a guy who's defence makes Katsidis look like Marlon Starling..
and he was fighting at 147 !!............

It was a pointless fight, an opponent who does absolutely nothing to worry him and he could just tee off all night without a care in the world.

Truss don't bother. Your wasting your breath
If Floyd took on Rios or Algeri he would be the worlds biggest coward. If they take on Manny they become fighting machines.
reeks of double standards. If you want to slag Floyd for ducking, fine have at it but hero worshipping a fighter that is doing the same is hypocrisy of the highest order.
I hear Manny will be fighting Super bantams next, wouldn't surprise me.

Re: Pacquiao v Algeri LIVE
But beating Matthew Hatton is okay? I've already said Algieri was limited... But Pacquiao absolutely pummeled him. Think you're just sour cause you know Floyd isn't going to produce one knockdown in the next three years, no matter who he fights, let alone six in a go.

Re: Pacquiao v Algeri LIVE
If Floyd fought a blown up Jr welter he possibly would knock the guy down. Nobody says Floyd hits as hard as Manny, he obviously doesn't.
He is better though and will prove it in May

I haven't seen the fight yet but I guess Panny gave him a good beating. I think 'Maybe'weather v Poochio could happen next year. Floyd would win

I agree Steffan. It would of been close four years ago but Floyd pot shots and counters Manny all night long.
It would be tricky for 3 or 4 rounds at best.

Re: Pacquiao v Algeri LIVE
I don't think anybody watches Mayweather expecting him to knock his opponent down Raf, it's a short sighted view that Pacquiao is performing better just because he has more power which is codswallop.
Pacquiao only pummelled him because he was so limited and devoid of any threat, you're too narrow minded and will concentrate on one fight with which you'll try and make a rather pointless observation.
It's not as if Hatton is one of Alvarez's better opponents so why you insist on bringing it up all the time I don't know; I think a run of Trout, Mayweather, Angulo and Lara sort of laughs at that.

Alveraz is miles ahead of Algeri not to forget he is FAR bigger. Manny would lose to Canelo unless he goes back to doing what he used to do a few years ago
