A regular occurrence at lower level rugby - must have been a slow news day for the BBC!

Anyone got any kit-related anecdotes to share that are more interesting than this one??

I hate the way they try to keep stories like this hidden. It's no coincidence that they only choose to release it now when all the interest in rugby has died down again after the AIs.

The rugby world needs to know about this, to know this thing can happen and to be on the look out for it.

If it gets out of hand it could seriously bring the game into disrepute.   I'm not liking it at all.

Nearly had a disaster once when taking my gear out in the dressing room before a game. Instead of the clubs black socks I had inadvertently packed a pair of very, very, very, very, very dark blue. Thankfully the local sport shop was open and we could buy 14 pairs to match mine.

Had to wear my old clubs second kit once, never again though, never, ever again.

A friend of mine works for a kit company, who were designing a new club kit and wanted a sleeve logo to jazz up the design.

Their proposed graphic got through 2 rounds of production meetings, at which point it hit my mate's desk.

He pointed out that given the staggering similarity of the logo to a swastika, (a) the arm was almost certainly the worst place to put it and (b) the design should probably have been changed.
