What to watch on the WWE Network

Post by BD21 on Thu 08 Jan 2015, 8:44 pm

With the launch of the WWE Network only days away (hopefully) I wondered what everyone's recommendations are on what PPV's to watch. I already have a list myself so I'll post that at the end if people are thinking on what to watch next. Which PPV's will you be rewatching? Which ones have you not seen before but plan on doing so? To the people who already have the US version, which events have you rewatched.

With the birth of my first child due any day now I have a few weeks off work and with not much in the sky planner at the minute or things left to watch on Netflix, the network could be the main thing used for background noise once it's launched.

I didn't watch WCW back in the day but would like to go back and watch the significant NWO ones. I already know of Starcade 97.

The PPV's currently on my list are as follows (some seen live at the time, some not)

Summerslam 2002, 2003 and 2013
Royal Rumble 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2008
Wrestlemania 17, 19-24 and 30
Most of the PPV's from 2000.
The NXT special events (only started watching about 4-6 before REvolution).

Good luck with the baby! We just got 2 and I use wrestling to handle the 3AM feed.

You will find that PPVs are indexed, so it is easy to skip bouts that don't interest.

NXT is practically worth the price of admission alone. The Monday Night Wars series and (to a lesser extent) rivalries are also worth a viewing.

Having said all that I've had the Network a couple of months since the botched launch lost my patience. I'll be keeping it to WM, but will then probably pick it up and put it down depending on the strength of the product at any time as I've found old PPVs less exciting than I may have imagined.

The programmes on there are great. Rivalries and Monday Night Wats are both gold, and I find the Legends of Wrestling round table show quite fascinating

Monday Night Wars is good, although repeats itself a bit if you watch it in large chunks.

Rivalries is pretty good, the one about Hardys and E&C was really good.

Like Prometheus said, PPV's show you were matches begin and end so if you loved a match but hated the rest of the card its easy enough to find.

I think thats everything covered.

Oh. And NXT! NXT! NXT! NXT! NXT!

I find him endearing in a stupid idiot kind of way. I think hes just a bit dumb, rather than full of malice like some of them

I love the Legends of Wrestling round tables, great viewing.
Michael Hayes comes across as an arrogant buffoon.
Surprisingly,as I mentioned on another post,Eric Bischoff comes across as quite a likeable guy.

Other than that,NXT is by far the stand out show to watch.

As far as I'm aware you can watch it on as many devices as you but can only watch live PPV's on one.
