WWE Raw Results - Spoilers ahead

Post by Fernando on Tue 03 Mar 2015, 11:04 am

Tonight's WWE RAW opens with the usual intro video. We're live from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey as the pyro goes off and Michael Cole welcomes us. He's joined by JBL and Booker T.

- We go right to the ring and out comes Seth Rollins with Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble. We get a look at Rollins' invading The Daily Show last week as he heads to the ring. Rollins takes the mic and says Jon Stewart just finished his Daily Show tapings and is on his way to RAW right now to confront him. Rollins knows Stewart is watching in his limousine and tells him he should just turn around right now. Rollins says this isn't some Jerry Lawler/Andy Kaufman situation. A "you suck" chant breaks out. Rollins is going to show he can do Stewart's job better than he can. Rollins goes on and is interrupted by Roman Reigns' music. Reigns makes his way to the ring through the crowd. Reigns says he just wanted to come out and hear everyone tells Rollins he sucks. Fans start the "you suck" chant again. Rollins goes back to praising himself. Rollins tells Reigns that he can't beat Brock Lesnar. Rollins says he would know because he's been in the ring with both men. Reigns says Rollins had a shot at Lesnar but couldn't get the job done. A CM Punk chant starts up. They argue and Rollins shoves Reigns. Reigns hits him with a right hand. Reigns tosses Rollins and hits a Superman punch on Noble. Mercury takes a spear. Rollins retreats to the stage as Reigns' music hits. Reigns and Rollins stare at each other as we go to replays. We come back and Reigns has his boot on Rollins' briefcase, which was dropped in the ring.

- Still to come, Rollins will host his own Daily Show. Also, Paige vs. Nikki Bella for the Divas Title.

- We see Dean Ambrose backstage walking with the Intercontinental Title belt. Back to commercial.

- We come back and Rollins is yelling at The Stooges for not being there for him in the ring. Randy Orton walks up and says what just happened was embarrassing. Orton knocks The Stooges. Orton says he believes in Rollins and what he was saying. Orton says Rollins should go to The Authority and demand a match with Reigns tonight so he can prove he can out wrestle Reigns. Rollins says he can out wrestle anyone on the WWE roster. He appreciates Orton's advice but he can handle this on his own. Orton says he was just trying to help and walks off.

Dean Ambrose vs. Bad News Barrett

We go to the ring and out comes Dean Ambrose with Bad News Barrett's Intercontinental Title belt. Ambrose stops and looks at a ladder that's standing on the stage. R-Truth is on commentary and Bad News Barrett waits in the ring. We see how Ambrose got the title back from R-Truth and Ambrose puts the title down in his corner. They go to work and Ambrose stomps away. Barrett fights out of a corner and takes Ambrose down for a 2 count. Ambrose turns it around and keeps Barrett grounded. Truth stands up and Barrett shoves him back in the chair. Barrett turns around to Ambrose diving out of the ring onto him. They go back in the ring and Ambrose clotheslines Barrett out the other side. Ambrose leaps off the apron with a big clothesline. Truth gets up from commentary and grabs the IC Title belt. He tucks it in his coat and sits back down at commentary. Ambrose brings Barrett back in the ring and works him over some more with lots of punches and chops. Ambrose runs the ropes but Barrett nails Winds of Change for a 2 count. Luke Harper appears behind Truth at the announcers table. Harper extends his hands for the belt it looks like. Truth picks it up and hands it to him. Harper throws the belt over his shoulder and walks around the ring with it. Barrett sees this and yells at Harper to come back. Ambrose comes from behind and hits Dirty Deeds for the non-title win.

Winner: Dean Ambrose

- After the match, Ambrose looks in his corner for the belt and it's nowhere to be found. Apparently he didn't see Harper leave with it. Ambrose looks around and goes to the floor where Truth is. Truth opens his jacket and shows Ambrose he doesn't have the belt. Cole says there is some strange stuff going on in WWE.

- We get a look at The Miz crashing Damien Sandow's commercial shoot on SmackDown. We go backstage now to Miz and Sandow. They've gathered Cameron, Summer Rae, Darren Young, Titus O'Neil and other Superstars and Divas for the world premiere of his new commercial. Sandow tells Miz he might want to screen this privately before showing it. Miz hushes him up but Sandow tries to warn him. It turns out that The Miz recorded lines for an erectile dysfunction drug called Niagara. The commercial makes Miz look bad and Sandow look better. We come back and the whole roster is laughing at Miz for having issues below the belt. Miz says he has plenty of bullets in his arsenal. Miz yells at Sandow and says he set him up. Miz calls Sandow an ungrateful nobody and slaps him. Sandow comes right back and gets in Miz's face. Miz tells Sandow to back down and remember where he was before they met. Cena says as much as he would love to hand Rusev his first loss and raise the United States Title at WrestleMania, he's not going to complain if it's not meant to be. He's going to adapt and overcome because that's what he does. Cena goes on about not giving up until you reach the prize. Cena says Rusev is a marked man and sooner or later, he will get his hands on him. Cena says but now, his focus should be on WrestleMania 31. Cena enters himself in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and fans boo. Stephanie McMahon's music hits and out she comes. Stephanie comes to the ring and wonders when Superstars started declaring what match they will be in. Cena says that's what everyone is doing for the Battle Royal. Stephanie says it sounds like Cena is trying to disparage Andre the Giant. She shows us Andre on the big screen and praises him. She shows us a photo of her at 8 years old sitting on Andre's knee. Stephanie says no, Cena cannot be in the Andre Battle Royal. Cena says he can tell by that picture that she wasn't the bitch she is now. Cena says he wasn't trying to belittle Andre. Stephanie says Cena couldn't get the job done against Rusev so maybe it's time they find someone who can. Stephanie threatens to leave Cena off of WrestleMania. She says WWE isn't defined by Cena. She say guys like Bret Hart, Hulk Hogan and others thought WWE would sink if they left but the company thrived. Stephanie says she thinks the fans want to see Cena sit WrestleMania out and there's a mixed reaction but mostly "yes!" chants. Stephanie says Cena isn't special or unique. She says it's not where would WWE be without Cena, it's where would Cena be without WWE. Cena looks down. The music hits and out comes Curtis Axel to the stage. Axel tells us not to change the channel because Axelmania is running wild and he gets a pop. He's been in the Royal Rumble for 35 days and counting now. He puts himself over and say he can beat Rusev at WrestleMania. Axel says he also met Andre as a kid. He knows he's already in the Battle Royal but 2 victories at WrestleMania is better than 2. Axel sucks up to Stephanie and calls her a visionary. He says her words are an inspiration. Stephanie thanks him. A big "Axelmania" chant breaks out. Stephanie says it looks like Axel's star is on the rise while Cena's is falling. She makes a match for right now and fans cheer. Stephanie says the only way Cena will face Rusev at WrestleMania is if Cena can change Rusev's mind. She wishes him good luck. Axel asks Cena what he's gonna do when Axelmania runs wild on him. Axel tears his t-shirt and Cena takes the mic. He's serious and tells Axel he has one chance to leave the ring. Cena warns Axel he will not walk out of the ring if the match starts. A "Cena sucks" chant starts and we go to commercial.

John Cena vs. Curtis Axel

Axel points at the WrestleMania sign and Cena runs over him again. Cena nails an Attitude Adjustment and applies the STF in the middle of the ring for the win.

Winner: John Cena

- After the match, WWE United States Champion Rusev comes to the stage with Lana. Rusev waves the Russian flag as Cena looks on. Lana congratulates Cena on his triumphant victory. Rusev says like Stephanie told him, the only way to get the match at WrestleMania is for Rusev to change his mind. Rusev says his answer is.... "yes" and "no" chants break out. Rusev knocks the fans and they interrupt him with a USA chant. Rusev says his decision is... no. The Russian flag drops down over the ring and rattles Cena. Rusev's music hits as Cena looks up at the flag.

- Back from the break and out comes Triple H to the ring. We see stills from the confrontation with Sting at Fastlane. Triple H talks about how he asked Vince McMahon for an opportunity 20 years ago. He believes he's made the most of that opportunity. 2 weeks ago at Fastlane, he offered Sting an opportunity for his career to last forever. Triple H promised to make Sting to be bigger than he ever has been but Sting squandered that opportunity away for one chance to have a WrestleMania moment. Triple H promises he will make sure it's as if Sting's career never existed. He says a lot of people wonder why Sting never came to WWE. Triple H says everyone has theories, including JBL, Booker T... he calls Booker into the ring because Booker knew Sting. Fans chant for Booker as he comes in and shakes Triple H's hand. Triple H says he heard Booker mention on commentary that Triple H may have blocked Sting from coming to WWE all these years. Triple H says he knows Booker doesn't believe that and asks Booker what he thinks. Booker talks about Sting and says Booker probably would have done the same thing if he was in Triple H's shoes. Triple H says Booker is like these little kids on the internet who think they know the insides of the business when they don't know a thing. Booker praises Sting as WCW's last man standing and says Triple H can't control him. Booker says nobody could control Sting - Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff, the nWo. Booker says Sting is here in WWE now and Triple H has to deal with it at WrestleMania. Triple H knocks Triple H for saying "just saying" a few times. Triple H talks about control and thanks Booker for helping. Triple H fires Booker like it's nothing. They stare at each other and Booker exits the ring. He goes to the announce table and grabs his stuff before heading to the back. A CM Punk chant starts. Triple H stops Booker from walking away and says he was just messing with him, he's not fired. Triple H says Booker is great at what he does and a valuable asset to the commentary team. Triple H says that was just an example of control and who has it in this situation. Triple H says he has an opportunity to end the last of WCW and he will do what he does better than anyone on Earth - he will take advantage of that opportunity and put an end to Sting. He drops the mic and the music hits as Triple H exits the ring. He stops at Booker T and says a few words before patting him on the back. Triple H heads to the back and Booker returns to commentary.

I love what they're doing with the IC title. If its going to be Bryan, Ziggler, Ambrose, BNB, Truth and Harper then Im fine with that.

Re: WWE Raw Results - Spoilers ahead

Post by owen10ozzy on Tue 03 Mar 2015, 10:33 pm

Ok so Raw itself....was it just me or was that a god awful episode!! A month out from the biggest ppv of all and they serve that up!

Good Points:

Heyman - Absolute gold and to be frank...the only person making me care about the Reigns match and making me actually believe that Lesnar may, just may walk out with title.

AJ Return - Much needed and a welcome addition to the Diva Title picture - though been impressed with the work of a few of the divas lately.

IC title - Good job in making it feel important again

Bad Point:

Lack of quality action in the ring and a real sense of Deja Vu in both the matches served up and the way they were booked...i.e. endings

Miz/Sandow - Awkward segment which is now growing extremely tiresome. I was looking forward to the eventual break up of the pair and a push for Sandow...now I don't particularly care and thats the fault of only one group of people...the writers who have done it all wrong.

Reigns - I get they need to make him strong and make him look like a challenge...but they are quickly approaching that line whereby the crowd turn on him knowing he is being positioned to take title. With the current situation surrounding Lesnar most know he is likely to drop the belt....the key to ensuring the match doesn't get the Goldberg/Brock treatment is to ensure the fans don't already know the outcome. They have to make them doubt it and at the moment they aren't doing that.

Bryan - Still absolutely no idea what Mania holds for him...and everyone can see that neither he nor WWE do either! If your going to put him in IC match then do it already and make it look like he cares about it. At the moment he's lost and the audience can tell and it's not a good thing and it's not a good thing for the mid-card title. If such a big name as Bryan is in the match then make him, make the title seem important. The only time he looked interested was when Ziggler came out...and given the whole Zig/Bry talk it only serves to fuel it more about them two than them two fighting over the title.

HHH - Wow that was a disjointed, off pace and tbh rather irrelevant promo. If your going to bring up the past and use it then do it properly so everyone understands the relevance. Most in the audience had no clue as to what was being said and what was meant by it.

Cena/Steph - Lets start off by saying Axel definitely left the ring...Cena said if the bell rang he wouldn't...but he definitely did! picard Next thing....it was yet another segment that just felt thrown together with no real thought. I get that Cena is supposed to be struggling at the moment and his place at the top of the mountain seemingly over...but Steph coming out and saying what she said just seemed to force the point on us when it didn't need to be...not only that but by having Cena even bring up the Andre Giant battle royale....going back and forth...and then not even getting into it...kind of made a mockery of it and devalued it (more than it already is).

Orton - A man whose career was nearly ended....helping those who nearly ended. I could understand that maybe he's playing the long game but with the whole Jon Stewart thing going on it just makes it really obvious to the audience that again it's a case of them not knowing where to go with Orton.

Bryan...Rollins....Orton...Wyatt...4 of the biggest names in the company and the company don't know what to do with them for the main PPV of the year. It's shambolic. And yes I know Wyatt is lined up for Taker...but again who really cares...no one! The company don't even know whether he will make it to Mania....hence he isn't due to appear at all until then.

All in all a hugely lacklustre Raw which showed just how poor WWE can be and just how short sighted the booking is in the place these days. There doesn't ever seem to be a real arcing storyline anymore and as soon as something i.e. injury, walkout etc etc occurs there never seems to be back up plan in place...just seem to throw a contingency plan in place on the fly.

More analysis than anythings Samo - The things is, I'm so critical because all of the seeds are there for them to be making a real go of this and really turn the screw and strengthen the product and thus the network....yet they seem to be doing all they can to screw it up.

Dolph made a thread about the IC title which I wholeheartedly agree with; it is the best it has been booked in an absolute age, it seems valid and important again and is probably the match I am most looking forward to. However the way they are booking aspects of the build up concerns me...for instance the whole Bryan being in it without giving reasons (this would work if he had been around the IC title but he hasn't...all it looks like to the fans is that he is being thrown in it because they have nothing else for him)....same with what happened on Smackdown (wont spoil it)...but now seem to have another entrant who should be somewhere else but the writers have pulled the trigger on the easy booking by putting him in this match.

As mentioned, the Wyatt angle should be fantastic....but it's not. It's become stale already, and with no sign of Taker until Mania it's going to be like flogging a dead horse in a couple of weeks. How can you have a feud which people care about...if one of those in the feud never shows up...you can't...

Which moves me onto Sting...I already think his lack of appearances is hurting the feud....when you add in the fact that what they are building it around is 20 odd years ago and a vast majority of the audience aren't aware of that history it's easy to see why the crowd have fallen flat for it already. It started off so well....but lately the HHH promo's just don't seem to fit or make much sense (to me they do as I know about the politicking etc) but to the larger audience you can tell it's going over there heads.

What frustrates me the most I guess is that I know, from years past, the last couple of RAWS before Mania will be frantic and a frenzy and will likely be excellent....so it shows they are capable of putting together fantastic shows...yet they only seem to bother doing it when they need to. And that's what I mean by poor booking....it comes across really obviously to fans not just smarks that there is some very lazy booking going on.

Let me ask you this....if 6 months ago someone gave the list of the perceived matches...and said this will be Wrestlemania line up..do you feel that you should care more/be more vested in them now than you currently are?

Ziggler - Why is it nonsense?....Which part do you think is? Taker?.....so you think they are holding him off TV to keep an aura of mystery around it...absolute bull*h*t and your naive if you think they are. The man is a broken down shell of the wrestler he was and the company and himself have no idea if he will actually be able to go come Mania. I fully expect the match up to be slow, one paced with plenty of lying about. If the match is to be a success it will be ring psychology that pulls it through...not ring action. And if your selling Wrestlemania on The Undertaker then you have him at least show up and accept challenege beforehand. In this day and age people don't depart with cash just to see if someone shows up...because they know they can just read whether he does the next day and then buy it. As for the other part of regards Bryan etc...why is that nonsense? You think 5 weeks ago the plan was to have Bryan in the IC match...I most certainly don't...he's in there because they have nothing else for him...and even then it may change to a Sheamus feud before hand. As for Orton...this whole Jon Stewart angle and the way Orton has come back stinks of a booking team which has yet to be told what either is doing at Mania..because Vince etc aren't sure yet.

You seem a bit angry, at a bloody wrestling show.

Sorry, youre just wrong. They will not be setting plans three weeks to Mania without knowledge of what they're doing. He's on the poster!

I don't think your Bryan point is nonsense, but frankly I don't care cos I like what they've done with him.

Orton is 100% set for Rollins, thats blatantly obvious

Its just a matter of time before Rollins has had enough with Orton and snaps. Orton is playing the long game here.

I think Wyatt should be applauded for the work he's doing. He's sold this feud all by himself, and the tension of when the Undertaker will respond is getting to critical levels, and the crowd will eat it up.

That Cena and Stephanie angle was won of the most confusing I have ever witnessed. And who gives an F what Andre meant to Stephanie? That was a complete ego-stroke from an annoying brat of a woman.

Main event was good although Reigns should not be losing, distraction or not.

Heyman, as usual was gold. Mic doesn't work, he makes the promo even better because of it. Most (normal) people just freeze.
