Rollins has an opportunity to win back the US Title against Cena in a cage and I wasn't gonna allow an injury to keep me from seeing this match tonight. WWE Tag Team Titles: The New Day (c's) w/Xavier Woods vs. The Dudley Boyz

We've seen their greatest hits, like Bubba shoving D-Von for no reason and the random obscure '90s TV reference, WHASSUP!!! But, these legends, these future HOFers have shown you a non-sensical side, like wearing glasses with no lenses. But, they've also shown you a despicable side as well. Xavier Woods is a humble man and they put him through a table! For shame, not only did they bring pain and suffering to this perfect human being, but also to a perfectly crafted table. So, say goodbye forever to the Dudley Boyz, because tonight, the New Day saves the tables!

D-Von avoids a springboard, 3D to Kofi, but Xavier runs in to break it up for the DQ.

THOUGHTS: Good tag match, finish sets up a probable table match blow-off to this feud at Hell in a Cell. Decent for what it was.

Lesnar lifts up Show again, F-5!! 1-2-3! WOW!

Winner: Brock Lesnar by pinfall (F-5)

Lesnar & Heyman celebrate his win afterward. Lesnar leaves, Show gets out of the ring, but Lesnar comes back to the ring and Show gets back in. Show dares Lesnar to bring it, Lesnar gets back in. BELLY-TO-BELLY OVERHEAD by Lesnar to Show, SUPLEX #5! Lesnar lifts up Show again, ANOTHER F-5!! We see replay of the Belly-to-Belly and the second F-5 as Lesnar & Heyman leave to the back. Show leaves to the back as the ring announcer asks the crowd to give him an ovation, they instead do the "Goodbye Song" to him.

THOUGHTS: Extremely fun match, somewhat truncated version of their Survivor Series 2002 match that was also here in MSG. Very fun stuff.

Hype video for NXT TakeOver: Respect and the NXT Women's Title Iron Woman match main event between Bayley & Sasha Banks.

The steel cage begins to get lowered for the main event.

Rollins gets free, Cena stops him before he can leave. Rollins stops Cena, Cena stops Rollins again, but then Rollins swings the cage door back into Cena's face for a close 2. Rollins is almost at the top, but Cena pulls him down, then sends him off the cage and crashing down. Cena gets over the top, but Rollins grabs him at the last second and brings him back in. Top Rope Superplex/Falcon Arrow combo by Rollins for another close 2. "This is awesome" chants by the crowd. They both seat at the top of the cage and exchange strikes. They head back in, Cena pulls Rollins off the top, then leaps off, Tornado DDT to Rollins for a close 2 as the lights go dim for a quick second in MSG, then come back down. Cena shakes off the referee from opening the cage door. Rollins leaps over Cena and gets over the top of the cage, then uses his feet to again swing the cage door back in Cena's face. Rollins starts to head down the cage, but Cena grabs his feet from the open cage door and lifts him up for the AA, but then Rollins slips out and hits Avada Kedvara for another close 2. Rollins goes again for the Pedigree, but Cena takes him down and locks him back in the STF. Rollins counters out and locks Cena in a Crossface. Cena gets Rollins on his shoulders and gets to his feet, but Rollins slips out and hits a low blow as the lights go dim again in MSG for a quick second. Rollins climbs back up the cage and starts to go over the top, but Demon Kane's music hits and he makes his way to the ring. Rollins starts to go down the cage, but Demon Kane stands in his path. Demon Kane calls for the Tombstone, lifts up Rollins and hits him with it. Demon Kane holds up the WWE Title belt, then drops it down on the fallen Rollins and leaves as the show closes.

THOUGHTS: Very good main event between Cena and Rollins. Finish with Demon Kane was fine to protect Rollins in defeat and do another beatdown in the post-match to continue the build to Rollins-Kane for the WWE Title at Hell in a Cell.

Booked like a house show, felt like a house show. Even the main event dragged on and felt like two guys just going through the motions.

WWE dont go to MSG live anymore because it costs a Poopie ton of money, so this should have felt more special but it just felt.. Meh, I suppose.

But to all intents and purposes, it is a house show with cameras and the commentary team. There has been more build to this than Beast in the East, but I just believe that is because this was more accessible to USA viewers.

I've watched the first two matches.

The crowd was into Orton and that helped the first match, but I thought everyone worked to a degree and I even enjoyed Sheamus in this. I'd give it ***

I'm desperately hoping that this is the end of Neville and Stardust. Even when he's in the ring with one of the most athletic and mobile wrestlers on the roster I find Stardust just sends me to sleep. **

I get that it IS a house show, but atleast the Japan show had the NXT title match to make it feel special. This was half built like a PPV but never felt like it at all, just a bit underwhelming. It wasnt terrible, at the matches were all decent, but never felt special.

The US title was never going to change hands, and the tag titles SHOULD have changed. No better place to put the Dudleys over than in New York.

Cheat is a cheat is a cheat. I think they did it expertly the way Bubba patrolled the ring, I thought they had it won. In fact, probably works better it being the same thing.

The Dudleys dont arf look slow and fat. With no mic time in a feud that has no variety they really arent worth having.

Sorry, I re-read what I wrote and I don't think it came out right. In fact, I don't really know how to make it sound. I just try to set my expectations really low, because that way WWE can meet them.

I'm at the point of questioning whether Brock is this huge draw that the Network is being built around during WWE's traditional lull between Summer Slam and Survivor Series.

To clarify that. I think it is a really good idea to use your special attraction in this way. Given that something has to be promoted to encourage people not to cancel and save $20 skipping NoC and HiaC.

But, I've not got round to watching Brock / Show, or the main event from this yet. Specifically Brock / Show. I feel I've seen it before. Not just in past meetings between the two, but in the style that Brock is working now. German Suplex, German Suplex, F5.

I think it is why the recent match against Undertaker stood out. Not just because it was so much better than I expected after their WM event. But I felt that Undertaker made Brock reach for a bit more.

I don't really know how to put this, but it just feels like those Lesnar matches have become so 1 dimensional that, even though he is protected with the limited schedule he works, I'm already becoming a bit bored of what is offered up.

It was ok for a special show. Lesnar and Show told a decent enough story. But I do think they have to be wary of who they put Lesnar up against after Taker. It needs to be someone fresher and younger who has to have some offence sold. Reigns' match with him at Mania will look much better on reflection now the tension of Roman becoming the new Cena is gone from the match.

Lesnar needs fresh meat. Cesaro, Ambrose, Owens, Bryan. Even Wyatt. The prizefights are running out and lacking lustre.
