Actually, while its almost impossible to avoid the brain cancer that is reality TV, cookery shows and various other pointless celebrity turdfests, you can at least avoid reading papers and magazine articles, so as long as they keep their private lives to the tabloids and Hello, Cosmopolitan or whatever, I'm quite happy. As mentioned elsewhere, some of us are old enough to remember when newspapers reported on the news and matters of national and international importance. Seems times have changed and the definition of the phrase "matters of international importance" has now been broadened to included the comings and goings of various self important c*nts whose pathological need to have their faces/ar$e/t!ts on display at all times seems to have taken priority over our need to know what is happening on the political/economic stage and the effect that any changes might have on us. Seem there are a great number of editors who have taken on the mantle of deciding what I need to see and know and settled on "celebrity vag!nas and side boobs"

Heh. Well, I'm at least old enough to remember when you (I) only saw stuff like that on Page 3 of the Sun and in their Bizarre pages. Think I started reading papers just prior to the rise of "celeb culture", back when people being famous for getting their clothes off, or being in a relationship with someone famous, was the exception, rather than the norm.

If I had hair I fear I'd be part of the generation of modern "men" who slather their hair in so much product that even standing behind a jet during take off would leave my barnet unruffled. I don't want that, I can't be bothered with it. I much the prefer the low maintenance look I've been "rocking" for decades. Leaves me more time to do the things I enjoy....namely sitting around and drinking (although I'm currently doing "Sober for October")

Ah - no wonder you're even crankier than usual. Laugh

I have the same problem at work. A skinny guy in an office of porkers who insist on having the windows open, allowing icy draughts to blow through the place, so I'm sat shivering in a fleece, while they're still coming to work in t-shirts or short sleeve shirts. steam

Animated Character Voices:

Not all of them, a specific bunch.  It's probably more a director's problem and maybe they should be the ones I'm calling out - but I'll stick with the actors, and action scenes.

Let's say a cuddly animated cat slips and falls seven floors onto a road, going through the usual assortment of hard obstacles on the way to make the scene more 'comic'.
But all the way down, the bloody actor feels he gotta work for his wages.  He ain't getting paid for silence.  So he goes through a litany of anguished gulps, groans, whines, yelps, and other assorted tones of 'comic' over-acting.

God, I hate that because you just know it all took place in a studio before any animation was done.  The actor had his script and never seems to realise he'll have pictures to go with the words when the thing is finished.  In other words, he didn't need to do the pointed oofs and Uggghs. Just let the sounds of impact do the work for you.  Those special sound effects people gotta eat too Wink

Story on the TV the other night about a guy who'd killed his best friend of 50 odd years with a punch after an argument.....

His family and the victim's family sat side by side in the court room.....and the victim's family begged the judge not to put the guy in jail..

He got 29 months......The Judge said justice has to be done ...

Really ???

What? So he's not entitled to be peed off with his team for the constant mechanical problems / failure that have almost surely scuppered his titles chances this season?

And who can blame him for not wanting to talk to the press...bunch of vultures that just ask the same inane / rhetorical questions over and over?

Its called making a point. Not the first time he's done something like that and probably won't be the last. Personally I would make more of an issue over his private life, with the continual partying and jet-setting, but the fact is, provided his car is working properly, he delivers more often than not.

He's not spoilt (No more so than any other F1 driver), he's not little (hit 30 recently) but if you feel he's a male member, thats up to you.

Hamilton is a helmet. He's guilty of the "Do you know who I am?" thing a few years back and also, despite her being a tad annoying, he refused to f*ck Nicola Shirtswinger repeatedly until she'd had a baby. She may be a pain but dear God I'd be disappointing her sexually on several occasions every day.

Hamilton is a bell end. He wrote a blog on the BBC a few years ago bemoaning the fact poverty still existed in this day and age. You're a tax exile you tool, you avoid paying the very taxes that could alleviate poverty.

As for his glorified scrap heap challenge day job I could not comment but I'm sure he is as big a tvvat at that.

Without a doubt, I wouldn't be overly concerned what, if any, enjoyment she derived from the experience. I would be there solely to impregnate her...whilst doing my best to convince her that she needed to dress in something see through and suck me off to achieve her ultimate goal.

Nick Kyrigos(?) the tennis bad boy of tennis. He sounds like a c*nt who needs beating to death, resurrecting then beating to death all over again.
Ronnie O'Sullivan - just an arrogant c*nt
Stephen Hendry - bitter little c*nt!
The person who came up with the phrase "life changing injuries" They used to be minor, serious, critical, or life threatening now they're just life changing. What the f*ck does it even mean? I hurt my back in two car crashes a couple of years ago, I now do a few back stretches every now and again. I didn't used to so have I suffered life changing injuries? Maybe it's a term to put in statements for compensation claims.

I think 'life changing injuries' are usually reserved for folks that started with two legs and end up with one or none. That's a pretty big change, alright.
Example: Nick Kyrigos. Now, when he wakes up from having being beaten to death twice in a row.... I think his injuries might fit the category; but we'll have to wait for his autobiography to find out the details.

Right, so Lewis NOT being a tax exile would immediately solve world poverty? picard You're being an equally big tool with comments like that. If he paid his taxes the UK would be a little bit better off and maybe we'd spend a few more pounds on foreign aid.

You can call it being hypocritical in principal but the reality is his taxes are neither here nor there in the big scheme of things. World leaders and organisations like the UN, IMF and various charities are the only way to solve problems like that.

He's also far from the only person to avoid paying taxes. I'm sure Google could probably drag a small 3rd world country out of poverty on it own, with what they owe.

Your last sentence is just hilarious and smacks of bitterness and jealousy. Did he steal your girlfriend or something when he became famous?

Not quite. I think what Jazzy Jeff is saying that he is part of the problem. If Feckers like him actually paid their taxes all of them not just him then perhaps we could make a difference to our country and to others. Think that if you are going to dodge tax don't write a blog about poverty and how it's a shame that it's still here in modern days.

Yes, Bernie Ecclestone...the man who holds track owners to ransom over the costs of hosting races (who then have to pass the costs on to the fans.

The man who holds teams to ransom over the cost of entering the competition every year AND forcing them to use his own private transport firm to lug their gear all over the world.

The man who insists on taking the sport to far-flung parts of the globe with absolutely no motorsport history and where the locals generally don't give a toss about F1 (they had to bus locals in for free in Korea and China just to make the stands look decently populated).

The man who tries to interfere with the regulations and get ridiculous rules implemented.

The man who created a monstrously unfair financial structure to benefit the big teams, while smaller teams and new entrants struggled and went out of business...something he has ONLY JUST acknowledged.

Shall I go on...?

I appreciate his taxes are drop in the ocean stuff, but if you choose not to pay taxes you cannot moan about things that directly or indirectly are impacted on by the amount of taxes collected. Whether you think his taxes are insignificant in the grand scheme surely you can see a certain irony or hypocrisy in bemoaning poverty in the UK whilst choosing to exempt yourself from paying into the UK. Surely that much is bleeding obvious.

Also has shah has said his taxes may represent a small amount, but they are endemic of a wider malaise. If every business and individual who did swerve paying what HMRC believe they should pay the additional amount is very much not drop in the ocean stuff, it is a chunk of change. The difference between most of those that avoid paying and Hamilton is the rest of them at least have the good sense not to mean about poverty like that moron.

No, I'll go on instead. The man who 'paid off' a court in Germany to get off on a 'bribery' case? Laugh

You'd laugh at that one in a comedy but the lawyers weren't laughing when they concocted it.

Anyway, don't go on about Bernie. It's not an Either/Or Love-In debate. It's a debate about a overly-smug guy in a baseball cap and what he might think of himself when he goes round using the old gangsta lingo of looking for 'respect'.

A VERY SMALL part...so small as to be almost insignificant.

Kinda like a soldier writing a blog wishing there could be world peace?

Its a little harsh to criticise him when he is far from the only one doing it. Loads of sports people do it, as do business executives and in some cases, entire mega-corporations.

As I also said, its not down to individuals to end world poverty (unless your name is Bob Geldof). The world in general needs to take a good hard look at itself and take action. You need to tackle the root causes that create poverty in the first place...not treat the symptoms with charitable donations.

Yeah, if you want to nitpick you can say he's a hypocrite, but the problem is so much bigger than even all the UK tax dodgers put together, that I think its being hugely unfair.

With regard paying "taxes". A sports celebrity earning multi-millions will certainly pay an accountant to ensure his money is handled properly. The accountant will advise the client what to do with the money to reduce his taxation. So it becomes a passive decision by the client - the accountant is just doing a job. Furthermore living in a tax haven may be more to do with avoidance of the media and anonymity (when the person wants anonymity) than saving money on tax.

Given the c*nt drives a very fast car in very glamorous places filled with glamorous people that he then surrounds himself with in full knowledge that the media will be their to record everything, one would suggest he's living in a tax haven to avoid tax as opposed to avoid having his photo taken...c*nt!

What the f*ck does it even mean? I hurt my back in two car crashes a couple of years ago, I now do a few back stretches every now and again. I didn't used to so have I suffered life changing injuries? Maybe it's a term to put in statements for compensation claims.
Ha. Good spot that one. When you think about, it's a bloody stupid phrase.

Yeah people always move to Monaco to get away from the media. I mean they're no celebrities at all living there, so you understand why the media wouldn't have any interest in the place Whistle

All the people who made contemptible public utterances (while an appeal was ongoing) trying to trash Ched Evans's future prospects after he'd served his time for something that it appears he never actually did:

I won't hold my breath awaiting the public apologies from those same people.

All we need him to do is to endorse Trump and Navy will be outside his house with a chainsaw, dressed up as Pennywise.

The CC thought it was dodgy from the off. Except Tino, but he's afraid of his own son so his opinion is suspect.
