After seeing Kanye spouting all his rubbish on twitter, his new Homeless Look clothing range....and his video game of his mom trying to get into Heaven, could this man actually be any more of a b3ll3nd!

Tell me people.....who gets right on your t!ts!

Nish Kumar

While I think it disgraceful behaviour to throw stuff at him, I can fully understand why.

Stand up comedians are meant to be funny, but all he does is shout in a very obvious ranty lefty way. It might get a laugh in the Student Union bar, but I really don't see what the BBC see to justify giving him any air time.

It's not the politics that worry me (I think Ben Elton used to be hilarious), but just the complete and total absence of humour or subtlety. Rubbish material delivered badly.

We have similar very angry "comedians" here too.

One person (forget her name) was allowed to go on stage/set and let off the most vicious anti-everything rant (but especially against white men) then pretend to defecate on our flag. All paid for by us out of the billion dollar budget as it was an ABC (=BBC) production. Might still be on their website?

Unfortunately we can't change history and I do realise some people carry a lot of justifiable emotional baggage but to express that under the guise of comedy is a bit of a stretch for me.

....... why qualify it? .......

Comedians.

Comedians get on my wick - period.

I love funny people, I like people with a sense of humour, I delight in quick wits and cynical sarcasmists (my word.  Use it and I'll demand royalties!!).... I love movies with great scripts that wisecrack and give characters some lovely lines.

...and none of it needs professional comedians spouting rehearsed crap on a stage for two hours.  Here's my concept of true 'Alternative' - just bury stand up comedy in a deep hole,  never to be unearthed again.  Just claim it's a threat to the climate. Cool

Anyway, back to serious matters.

David Attenborough.

Yep, the time has come.  Even Saints have to be brought down to size on this particular thread.

I grew up with this man.... and remember him from shows before the runaway monster that has become his Planet documentary series after series after series...

....but I could still handle him if he didn't allow himself to become such a pastiche of his many imitators over the decades.  The voice now whines with ultra-delay emotion on the end of worddddddddddsssssss whispered out in that breathy tone of pain for the planet that he must have walked, flown, sailed and driven over every inch of by now.

I can hear the director every time "Right Sir David, we're coming to a SaveDaPlanet Emoto Section next so..... well, you know, give it lots of melancholy and pain.  Sell it, Baby!".

Enough!

Wholeheartedly agree with this one.  When I watch a wildlife documentary all I want to see is animals killing other animals, we've got Greta Thunberg to continually remind us what c*nts we all are.

If it's annual destruction it's Wales, if it's daily destruction I think a football field is the unit used.

If a 110m x 75m wide football field is approximately 0.82 hectares (2.02 acres), then Wales (20,735 sq km or 2,073,500 ha) is 2,528,628 football fields in size.

The fires here have burned around 5 million ha (12,355,000 acres) or 6,097,560 football fields which is approximately 2.4 times the size of Wales.

I didn’t give any particular reasons for disliking the movies though, unless you read something I didn’t. I also said I couldn’t resonate with the new characters, a bit like kids still prefer to buy toys of the original characters rather than the new ones - racist and homophobic kids eh! You were desperately looking for offence when there was none to be taken, kinda lame.

Of course there's minimal risk of that - never dry enough for long enough...

Back to gear grinders:
'Worthy' months like Dry January or Veganuary., and particularly the pushing of these lifestyle choices by certain parts of the media. Either choose to be vegan or not / tea-total or not, but don't do it in a half-a**ed way for a month.

BBC website has an article '8 tips for surviving Veganuary'. Easy first tip - if you are thinking about it in terms of surviving, don't bother in the first place.

It's really excellent that January is the month they have picked for the vegan craze. Possibly the worst month of the year for having to fly vegan food in from abroad, rather than being able to produce it here. Superb!

Even then, you need to be doing an extraordinary amount of exercise for them to be more useful than a normal, balanced diet. I'd wager that 95% of protein shakes end up as nothing more than expensive urine.

Don't be giving them ideas!  Reconstituted Super Concentrated Urine Protein Drinks might become all the rage with the Always-On jet-set greenomics 'Influencers'......, if not already a delicacy in those circles, which on further reflection I think it is.  Waste not, want not.

Always out of condition types jealously sniping about People who take pride in looking good..

I'm 50 this year but I still keep my protein sachets and bars in the cupboards in the Kitchen at work and religiously bring my little electric whisk so I can blend my shake in front of the pompous little morons half my age with Sauvignon and Burgundy gut..

Never be ashamed of looking good.

You seem to have missed the point on this one, Trussy.

These people tend not to be in shape and think that protein shakes are a magic wand...

I suspect that the moment no one can see them, they will be straight into Gregg's

Being 'in shape' and looking good aren't necessarily the same thing - it's a matter of taste.

Personally I'm glad not everyone's a gym bunny.

Nobody is saying that staying in shape and "looking good" is bad. But protein shakes are, in 95% of cases completely pointless.
