WWE Rawful Results - Spoilers Ahead

Post by Fernando on Tue 01 Mar 2016, 10:49 am

Tonight's WWE RAW opens up with a look back at last week when WWE World Heavyweight Champion Triple H destroyed Roman Reigns.

- We're live from Nashville, Tennessee as the pyro goes off and Michael Cole welcomes us. He's joined by JBL and Byron Saxton.

- We go right to the ring and out comes Triple H in a suit.

Triple H talks about how everyone has an authority figure in their life that they don't challenge because they're afraid. He says that fear is not a bad thing, it's what keeps things in place. He says nature provides you with that fear so you will know your place in life. Fans boo. He says Roman Reigns should have listened to that fear, he should have known his place but he didn't. He chose to challenge authority and disrespect authority. He chose to challenge Triple H and disrespect Triple H. Triple H says Reigns is sitting at home right now hoping his WrestleMania spot still exists. He goes on but is interrupted by the music of Dean Ambrose. Out he comes to a pop.

Ambrose limps into the ring and goes to speak but fans cheer. They chant his name now. Ambrose says he just got off the phone with Reigns. He says hi and he's coming for Triple H. Triple H mocks their "bromance" and Ambrose says he wanted to have this talk last week but he got mauled by a grizzly bear in the parking lot, then he was driving an ambulance and challenging Brock Lesnar. He talks about the other stuff that happened last week and fans start chanting for Shane McMahon. Ambrose asks Triple H if he likes Shane or not and Triple H brushes it off. Ambrose asks Triple H who he wanted to win the Triple Threat at Fastlane, or better yet... who did he not want to win. Triple H says Ambrose is wasting his time. He says Reigns and Lesnar are the only ones that meant anything in that Triple Threat. He says it was clear Ambrose was never a factor. Ambrose gets in Triple H's face.

Ambrose knows Triple H forgets about the little people sometimes but he's Dean Ambrose and he's the last person Triple H wanted to face at WrestleMania 32. Triple H laughs at him and asks if he really is mental. Ambrose wonders why everyone keeps saying that. Ambrose says Triple H is smart enough to know he can't beat him. Fans chant for Ambrose now. He says he can see it in Triple H's face and body, he can read Triple H like a self help book. He can even smell it on him... he says Triple H doesn't believe he can beat Ambrose. Triple H says the unfamiliar smell is probably laundry detergent and clean clothes, or something else Ambrose doesn't have... money and power. A "you can't beat him" chant starts up now. Ambrose challenges Triple H to a title match tonight. Ambrose wants to find out if he's just talking crazy and wants to find out right now. Triple H says Ambrose can't just walk out with a crazy idea and make it happen. Triple H says this does intrigue him and he will think about it to see if it's best for business. He will give Ambrose an answer by the end of the night. Triple H was going to give Ambrose the night off because of Lesnar beating him up but he changed his mind. He books Ambrose vs. Alberto Del Rio with the rest of the League of Nations at ringside to see if Ambrose will learn to respect authority. Triple H exits the ring and we go to the announcers.

I don't understand that if you're building to Mania and two main events of Reigns v HHH and Ambrose v Lesnar that you then centre the show around a feud of HHH & Ambrose.

WTF is going on?

Triple H beating up Reigns got him cheers, so they're using Ambrose's popularity to get him booed, then they'll hope that Reigns getting revenge next week will get him cheered. It won't, but I'm assuming that's their logic.

I'd rather we'd have seen Ambrose and Heyman go toe to toe on the mic, presuming that Lesnar was unavailable.

They seem to have turned Ambrose into Homer Simpson from the episode where he goes up against Drederick Tatum.

Every champion bar HHH looked pretty bad tonight.

Owens lost to Big Show?

So why did they tease League of Nations vs New Day at Fast Lane only for them to go with New Day vs Y2AJ? Or is this just to get the Y2AJ feud over with Jericho turning. And why is Kalisto and Del Rio still feuding.

Undertaker was only there out there for about a minute and gave no explanation as to why he's gonna help Vince.

To me, the only bright spark was Sasha Banks vs Becky Lynch who put on a good match and the Dean Ambrose/HHH stuff. Other than that, Raw was as Nando put it, "Rawful".

Wow that sucked. Story telling was all over the place! Thought that the New Day/Y2AJ match was really good and it seems like Jericho and Styles work well together but it doesn't make sense.

Could ambrose actually beat HHH leading to Ambrose v Reigns at mania and a heel turn for Reigns? Probably not but it would be smart.

All in all it sucked so bad.

So you want to make your WWE Champion look strong before putting Reigns over at Mania, I get that. But making him look strong against the guy who is supposed to be trying to look strong himself before going up against the biggest badass in the company isn't quite doing Ambrose any favours is it. Especially as I'd imagine HHH will beat Ambrose. Doesn't make the casual think he can then beat Lesnar, does it.

Also, the Taker segment sucked massively. He needed to say more about why he'd face anyone at Mania, try and remind everyone of the stigma he holds at Mania. I'd expect to hear more from a guy who hasn't been seen since November. I also think it portrayed Taker as being pitiful - 'Shanes blood will be on your hands'. It's almost like he doesn't want to do it and won't be held accountable. That's not what The Undertaker is about for me. He shows no remorse, he has no conscience. But he showed glimmers of both in that sentence.

Mind boggling stuff really.

This Y2AJ team is a decent set up but Styles is underutilised unless he gets a singles run.

Its almost like its market research trying to find out who the fans prepare. Its astonishing that they put Ambrose in the exact same position as Reigns was last week and gets such a better reaction, and yet Ambrose isnt in the feud. Just shows that Ambrose should have been the choice to face HHH at Mania. I dont care about Reigns now, I just want to see Dean kick his ass.

That said, the HHH/Ambrose stuff was fairly decent. Everything else was appauling. What a waste of the Undertaker for a start.

Im trying to stay as optimistic as possible, especially as last years Mania was well above expectations and was a general success, but RAW has been garbage for weeks now and I just cant bring myself to care anymore.

If it wasnt for NXT I would give up on WWE altogether. I cant even get excited for the remote chance of Shane winning and 'taking control' becuase you know Vince, Steph and Dunn will still be calling the shots and still driving the product into the ground.

Cornette face has never been more appropriate. Frak this company.

If you would have said 2 years ago that Ambrose, Rollins, Owens, Nakamura, Balor, Gallows, Anderson, Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Zayn, Wyatt, Neville etc etc would all be in the WWE I'm not sure how many would have believed it. Given the talent they've now got, the quality of the product is pretty inexcusable. What would writers of years gone by give give to book that lot!

Raw is in the Allstate Arena next week. They should have their title match there. Oh and Ambrose should win, then retain against Lesnar at Mania. He's so far ahead of Reigns as the number 1 babyface it's unreal.

It's not going to happen but I assume if Ambrose beat Triple H, he'd face Reigns who is the number one contender, even though Lesnar has accepted his challenge.

They really should admit defeat on the Reigns push and just go with that.

Whilst I'd enjoy the match, that'd dilute the card considerably by including four of the biggest stars in one match. Leaves the rest of the card looking pretty scarce.

I can already tell you Ambrose wins by DQ when Lesnar attacks him.

I don't see how having 4 people in 1 match instead of 2 is going to change much tbh Crimey.

Id rather see the following. Got filler matches and things that will entertain cos so far WM is going to be a drab affair.

HHH vs Reigns vs Lesnar vs Ambrose - WWE Title
Sasha vs Charlotte vs Becky - Diva's
Shane vs Taker - HIAC
Owens vs Zayn - IC Title could use Wyatt but i doubt WWE will do that.
Andre the Giant Battle Royal
New Day vs Y2AJ Vs LON vs Uso's vs Truth & Goldust vs Harper & Rowan
Ryback vs whoever there building him up for.
Kalisto vs Neville - US Title.

Because including gaps between, the two one on one matches will probably last over an hour. Whereas I can't see a fatal four way lasting that long.

HHH vs Reigns vs Lesnar vs Ambrose - WWE Title(40m)
Sasha vs Charlotte vs Becky - Diva's (20m)
Shane vs Taker - HIAC - 45m (entrances and post match included)
Owens vs Zayn - IC Title could use Wyatt but i doubt WWE will do that. (25m)
Andre the Giant Battle Royal (19-20m)
New Day vs Y2AJ Vs LON vs Uso's vs Truth & Goldust vs Harper & Rowan(17m)
Ryback vs whoever there building him up for (5m)
Kalisto vs Neville - US Title. (12m)

Thats how I would time it, leaves you 56 minutes. Plenty of time for promos, the anthem, a music performance or a big segment involving The Rock or something. Could even throw in another match.

I don't imagine in any world that HHH vs Reigns will go 40 mins unless a lot of rest holds. Apparently the IC Title will be a ladder match again

HHH vs Reigns certainly wouldnt go 40 minutes but I was timing the fatal four way. Including entrances you could maybe get 30 minutes from Reigns and HHH.

What an awful raw. I was really looking forward to it since last week and for Shane o Mac not to appear, undertaker to say about 3 words which were pointless, the divas match to end stupidly to set up a rematch on snack down and for dolph to get beat by miz...what a load of rubbish.

I was actually looking forward to an actual segment by rusev body slam thing but that never happened.

The entire card was a joke. Hhh va dean? Makes no sense in so many levels. Deal battled in a 3 way, loses it and then asks for a match and gets it!? Useless pointless....

I think the thing that bugs me the most is this RAW didnt need to happen. Literally nothing about Mania has changed, nothing has advanced and we're still at the same point we were last week. Theres a slow build and theres nothing.

Terrible raw, from an outstanding episode last week to a complete mess this week.

The idea of a fatal 4 way for the title is a splendid idea and it could easily work and it will save the wrestle mania 22 type match.

I'd rather the U.S title is involved in a ladder match, as kalisto can have some spots, whilst Owens can actually have a decent feud for his title, ideally Zayn.

Undertakers return was stupid, made no sense the way they went about it. I'm still expecting Shane to have a replacement (probably cena) maybe even Ryback, could be the spotlight he wants.

Meh, just watched it. But I knew they were building to the Network special. So it kinda fits for me.

Didnt like the Taker bit though. That was the worst part.

I'm assuming New Day cheat on Raw, 50/50 as to whether they beat Y2AJ on the Network special as its in Canada. HHH wins. Owens probably defends his IC against Big Show and beats him.

Hopefully from there it goes to a WM build with New Day against the LON, HHH and Reigns picks up and Lesnar and Ambrose stays intense.

I think we'll get a Triple threat TLC match for the Tag Titles at WrestleMania with New Day/Uso's/Dudley's

I'll be amazed if Jericho doesn't turn heel on AJ to set up their last match at Mania
