AlciG's strong performance turned into domination as four of his picks finished inside the top ten.  Both Owen10ozzy and SirBenson had three picks score points, all of Owen's were in the top ten as were two of SirBenson's as they jockeyed for the runner up spot.  Kwinigolfer also had three picks score points including two of the top four.  Beninho, BlueCoverman, LadyPutt, LL Cool Nay, McLaren, and Raycastleunited also had three picks score points but none of this group had runner up Luke Donald unlike the previously mentioned Fantasy Leaguers.  

Davie, Eyetoldyouso, GolferMartin, Hibbz, Pedro, Sand, and TheCleaver all had two picks score points.  GolferMartin had the winner in Branden Grace but not enough supporting quality to really challenge the leaders.  EmmDee57 had one pick score while I'm Never Wrong and SetupDetermines failed to trouble the scorers.

John Senden set the low round of the day with a 65 and Hibbz was the beneficiary of his fine play.

The RBC Heritage gives another chance to win a jacket but this time it's god, other deities available for invocation, awful and not the most attractive.  Could possibly be a factor for Jim Furyk's absence although he will hit the ceremonial tee shot as previous champion.  

Some folks are licking their wounds from Augusta and some will be looking to use this as a springboard for bigger and better things.  World number one, Jason Day, is the headliner and he's joined by sixteen other players from the top fifty in the world rankings.  Former champions in the field include Matt Kuchar, Graeme McDowell, Carl Petersson, Brandt Snedeker, Brian Gay, Boo Weekley, Aaron Baddeley, Stewart Cink, and Davis Love III.  Weekley and Cink have two of the hideous jackets while Love III has five of them dating back to 1987.

There are three Categories where you will need pick three players, plus reserve, from each one.  There are bonus points available if you get all of your picks through in any category.  Get all 9 picks through and you get an even bigger bonus.  It's all way down at the bottom in the scoring section if you are interested.

This is a full field with cut event, cut points will be available; see above.

RULES

Picking players: Unless stated, pick a total of 9 players as follows:

Pick 3 players from each category, plus a reserve per category.

Event winner: The person with the most total points at the completion of each event will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, those involved will match-off each picks' final position score in descending order. i.e. Player A's best finish vs. Player B's best finish, Player A's 2nd best finish vs. Player B's 2nd best finish, etc... until one's pick finishes better than the other(s).

If there is a tie after all 9 picks have been matched against each other, those involved will be declared co-winners.

Player Withdrawals: If you pick a player who withdraws during a tournament, that player will be eligible for points for all completed rounds and making the cut if they withdraw after the cut. It must be apparent that the player completed their round for them to be eligible for either the low round, worse round, top 5, or top 10 low round scores.  If a player withdraws before starting the tournament then your reserve will be put in that player's place. It is up to you to check that your players are in the starting field.

Holidays / Absences: If you will be absent for an upcoming event (e.g holidays) you may post the numbers on the most recent fantasy league event and the respective tournament(s) that apply or PM them to me.  Example: Pick 3 players and 1 reserve from each category and the relative event number or name: Players 4, 5, and 8, reserve 9 from Category A, players 1, 3, and 7, reserve 5 from Category B, players 1, 2 and 17, reserve 12 from Category C, Event #12.

Failure to submit picks: If you do not submit picks you will be awarded zero points.

Deadlines: Picks must ideally be submitted before the first drive is struck on the first day of the tournament.  However, late picks submitted after the tournament has begun must be for players who have yet to start (or are not showing a score on europeantour.com, PGATour.com, etc.), and these will not be valid unless they are seconded by any other league member.

All fantasy league disputes and discrepancies will be considered by the League Judge: LadyPutt. All decisions made by the League Judge are final.

Course specialist and Fantasy League pick Luke Donald got off to a great start with a round of 66.  He was joined at the top of the leaderboard by fellow pick Branden Grace.  Rounds of 67 were needed to make the Top Five Low Round scores and four picks, Jason Day, Matt Kuchar, David Lingmerth, and Tony Finau, did just that.

With that many picks in the scoring positions a whole host of Fantasy Leaguers got off of the mark in round one of the RBC Heritage.  AlciG and Owen10ozzy lead the way after both picked Donald and had two of the other scorers.  GolferMartin and SirBenson both picked a low round scorer and added another scoring pick while LadyPutt and Sand had three of the four other scoring picks.  Kwinigolfer was the only other Fantasy Leaguer to have one of the low round scorers and Eyetoldyouso, Hibbz, I'm Never Wrong, LL Cool Nay, McLaren, and Pedro tied Kwini by having two of the four other scoring picks.  BlueCoverman, Davie, Raycastleunited, SetupDetermines, and TheCleaver also had one of the scoring picks.

The cut line fell at +2 and we'll still need another cut for Sunday as 82 players made it through to the weekend's play. Category A proved problematic as four picks from there missed the cut; Brandt Snedeker was the downfall of many a Fantasy Leaguer. Only two cut bonuses were paid out in Category A. Hibbz and McLaren have eight picks left as Snedeker did for both of them. BlueCoverman, LadyPutt, and Sand are among the group that have seven picks left but all three earned double cut bonuses. AlciG, LL Cool Nay, Owen10ozzy, SirBenson, and TheCleaver were the other Fantasy Leaguers with seven picks left and just the one cut bonus. Beninho, Davie, EmmDee57, Eyetoldyouso, GolferMartin, Kwinigolfer, Pedro, and Raycastleunited all have six picks left; Eyetoldyouso and Pedro were the only ones not to earn a cut bonus from this group. I'm Never Wrong and SetupDetermines both have five picks left and neither earned a bonus.

Russell Knox shot 65 for the round of the day. A second cut will be made after Saturday's play to reduce the field to top 70 and ties.

Scoring seemed a little tougher at Harbor Town, not that I really know as I rarely watch pro golf, Kevin Na set the low round mark with a 66 early on and made a significant move up the leaderboard.  To make the Top 10 Low Round scores a one under 70 was needed and eleven other players managed that; seven of them were picks.  SirBenson made a move with three of his picks scoring points and he overtakes AlciG and Owen10ozzy, who both had one pick score points, at the top of the leaderboard.  McLaren was one of three Fantasy Leaguers to have two picks score points, EmmDee57 and GolferMartin were the other two.  Beninho, Kwinigolfer, LL Cool Nay, Raycastleunited, Sand, and TheCleaver all had one pick score points.

The MDF cut line fell at +7 and BlueCoverman's Carl Pettersson was the only pick not to miss out.

AlciG's strong performance turned into domination as four of his picks finished inside the top ten.  Both Owen10ozzy and SirBenson had three picks score points, all of Owen's were in the top ten as were two of SirBenson's as they jockeyed for the runner up spot.  Kwinigolfer also had three picks score points including two of the top four.  Beninho, BlueCoverman, LadyPutt, LL Cool Nay, McLaren, and Raycastleunited also had three picks score points but none of this group had runner up Luke Donald unlike the previously mentioned Fantasy Leaguers.  

Davie, Eyetoldyouso, GolferMartin, Hibbz, Pedro, Sand, and TheCleaver all had two picks score points.  GolferMartin had the winner in Branden Grace but not enough supporting quality to really challenge the leaders.  EmmDee57 had one pick score while I'm Never Wrong and SetupDetermines failed to trouble the scorers.

John Senden set the low round of the day with a 65 and Hibbz was the beneficiary of his fine play.

Are Blue's alternate numbers okay?

China for the European Tour, don't snigger, or Texas with the PGA Tour?

PGA Tour's strength of field is almost double that of China plus there is the time difference which is more favourable to making picks. 6 hours behind with Texas allowing picks up to 1pm on Thursday for the majority of you or 7 hours ahead for China which means picks would have to be made by midnight on Wednesday.
