I am going to see a double bill tribute act on the 1st of July in Glasgow - Genesish and Still Marillion.

Now, I know my Marillion back to front and love all of their work, however, I have never really listened to any Genesis, especially the Gabriel stuff (which is ironic as Marillion were always called the poor mans genesis, and they are my favourite band).

Anyway, my question is this - what album/s should I listen to before the concert to get me into the Genesis vibe?

I'm no big fan on Genesis (or Marillion) for that matter, but when it comes to Genesis and particularly the songs a cover band are likely to do, I'd go for Lamb Lies Down On Broadway, Foxtrot and Selling England By The Pound (unless they are the sort of tribute band who cover the later Genesis

Do they have a website? You may be able to get some clues from that

The marillion one tend to play different sets each time - last gig was the whole of the misplaced childhood album - class!
