I personally would buy CR7. As an unbiased individual I would buy CR7. If I were a Barca fan I would still pick CR7.

I think the lawyer values were too high tbh. Should have been normal £ tm value + 10% increase. That would have made it a bit harder to reach Ronaldo level players.

It's Euro values purely because the runner can just log into the German version of TM and take the value directly.

Really how high you start really sets the length of the league. If you do drafts, you tend to find a mixture of saving cash and buying players about to rise in TM also.

I'd like to see less randomness to lawyers and potential profiteering from them.
The league should see those that plan ahead with spotting players who may get a rise rewarded rather than it just get those lucky with their most valuable players get picked regularly.

I know but all you need is a calculator to find out the +10% fee of what they would be.  For example Luis Suarez's tm value is £76.5m. His lawyers offer would be £84.15m. A nice little profit imo. Wheras his € fee is 90mill which is too much of a profit imo. I say this but I sold Aguero in season 1 to lawyers to help fund my real madrid signings Laugh

I have a plan for when we start again.

We are going to have to buy our teams below a certain value, I want to have a longevity league and not have to reset after 3 season, I would ideally like more.

I don't mind the time it takes, it is easy to do sure but it does take at least an hour of my time a week just drawing lawyers and injuries after I post them etc etc.

To be honest, not many leagues make it past 3 seasons because interest wanes. It's a nice balance between reaching superstar teams too quickly and not very much happening weekly.

I would have people buy real life teams rather than a draft, part of the issue with a draft is everyone enjoys them but when it's finished, everyone has a team full of players they want and not much trading occurs.

Definitely an element of luck to it which would be good to get rid of if

i got a Pogba lawyer early on which pretty much won me the first season, but then spent most of the time hoping for one on Aubameyang when Aguero etc all were still out there!

The question is though, if we had lower budgets and had to buy teams for example say someone bought a championship side and had like £10m left over, would people be happy with that? I feel the more money in the league at the start can potentially damage longer term plans and longevity.

It would be lawyering players, just with lower budgets so people can't just buy £15m players straight away cos one lawyer offer that's £20m etc etc

If you want to have an actual long term league, then starting with limited foreign transfers and controlling when signings can be made is the way to go

Eg, start with sides all around the 70m mark, with a max of 2 foreigns that can be made at the start of the season

Have a transfer window after week 5, another at the end of the season, maybe with a bit more leeway to sign u21 players

That'll keep it competitive, give more cash for predictions and submitting team sheets on time for transfers, and do away with random lawyers. Stick with 2 nominated lawyers in each window for example, and no others

I agree with what has been said, the lawyer values are too high.

I came up with the idea of making it the value in Euros as it was around +20% which is what we used to do and for the time saved it was a lot easier.

Personally I'd like to be allocated low PL teams, but I think we're better off waiting till the end of the season. I think it's pretty clear we'll be resetting.
