With three scoring picks in a second, third, and fourth Eyetoldyouso came storming through the pack to take victory at the USPGA Championships. Third round leader Beninho had one more scoring pick but not enough overall quality to withstand Eye's charge.  AlciG also had four scoring picks. Davie, Kwinigolfer, McLaren, and SirBenson also had three scoring picks while BlueCoverman, I'm Never Wrong, and LadyPutt had two scoring picks.  EmmDee57, GolferMartin, Pedro, Raycastleunited, Sand, SetupDetermines, Super_Realist, and TheCleaver all had one scoring pick.

Soren Kjeldsen and Joost Luiten both shot 65 to tie for low round of the day.

It's late, I'm tired.  It's the final major of the year; Glory's Last Shot and all that.  Strong field (blah, blah), Jason Day headlines as number one in the world and current Wannamaker Trophy holder.  Normally I list who has won it previously but I can't be bothered; it's late and I'm tired, and you can find out easily online.  20 Club Pros lucky enough to qualify and play and for some it's their first time and for others their sixth time.  Can't be arsed to run the lottery on low Club Pro and let's face it, none of them are likely to make the cut anyway.

There are three Categories where you will need pick three players, plus reserve, from each one.  There are bonus points available if you get all of your picks through in any category.  Get all 9 picks through and you get an even bigger bonus.  It's all way down at the bottom in the scoring section if you are interested.

This is a full field with cut event, cut points will be available; see above.

RULES

Picking players: Unless stated, pick a total of 9 players as follows:

Pick 3 players from each category, plus a reserve per category.

Event winner: The person with the most total points at the completion of each event will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, those involved will match-off each picks' final position score in descending order. i.e. Player A's best finish vs. Player B's best finish, Player A's 2nd best finish vs. Player B's 2nd best finish, etc... until one's pick finishes better than the other(s).

If there is a tie after all 9 picks have been matched against each other, those involved will be declared co-winners.

Player Withdrawals: If you pick a player who withdraws during a tournament, that player will be eligible for points for all completed rounds and making the cut if they withdraw after the cut. It must be apparent that the player completed their round for them to be eligible for either the low round, worse round, top 5, or top 10 low round scores.  If a player withdraws before starting the tournament then your reserve will be put in that player's place. It is up to you to check that your players are in the starting field.

Holidays / Absences: If you will be absent for an upcoming event (e.g holidays) you may post the numbers on the most recent fantasy league event and the respective tournament(s) that apply or PM them to me.  Example: Pick 3 players and 1 reserve from each category and the relative event number or name: Players 4, 5, and 8, reserve 9 from Category A, players 1, 3, and 7, reserve 5 from Category B, players 1, 2 and 17, reserve 12 from Category C, Event #12.

Failure to submit picks: If you do not submit picks you will be awarded zero points.

Deadlines: Picks must ideally be submitted before the first drive is struck on the first day of the tournament.  However, late picks submitted after the tournament has begun must be for players who have yet to start (or are not showing a score on europeantour.com, PGATour.com, etc.), and these will not be valid unless they are seconded by any other league member.

All fantasy league disputes and discrepancies will be considered by the League Judge: LadyPutt. All decisions made by the League Judge are final.

Jimmy Walker shot 65 to take the lead after round one and four picks, Emiliano Grillo, Henrik Stenson, Martin Kaymer, and Ross Fisher, made the Top Five Low Round Scores by shooting 67 or lower. In three cases two of them were in the same Fantasy League selection. Beninho, BlueCoverman, and LadyPutt are off to a flier after having two of those four players. A number of others have one of the four in their selections; AlciG, Davie, GolferMartin, Kwinigolfer, Raycastleunited, Sand, SirBenson, and Super_Realist are all off the mark.

7 weeks without unpacking the clubs is a long time in the middle of summer! Have you decided on joining somewhere yet?

I didn't put my clubs in the removal van, they went in my car boot so are currently easily accessible under the stairs instead of buried under a mountain of boxes. Whether I will actually get an opportunity to use them is a totally different question.

I've only moved 20 minute drive away, it couldn't be more different though: no longer in London, on the tube in a bustling area with shops, offices and restaurants. Now in a quiet village in Hertfordshire. I have a golf dilemma now. My club is still only 15 mins away, but there is a golf club in the village.

We've joined a club, Leven Golfing Society, which is on a lovely links course and hopefully with a clear diary next week we might get to give it a go. A great special deal of £620 each until January 2018 was an incentive too good to pass up. Best of luck with the move - hope you don't find as many horrors in the garden as we have!

We joined Leven GS super as they were doing a great deal on membership to the end of 2017 and were really friendly - and the view from the clubhouse is fantastic! Sadly we've been so busy getting the house and garden straight we've not had a chance to play yet

Sorry LP, didn't read your post properly.
I certainly prefer the GS members, although both clubs bicker terribly. They'd be better selling the Thistle clubhouse and collaborating.

You are right though, views out of the clubhouse is great, apart from the "amusement arcade" stuff and the associated riff raff and car planks by the sea.
Possibly one of the greatest closing hole in Scotland Leven's 18th though.

Category A proved to be a challenge for the Fantasy League as some big names crashed out of the USPGA Championship. Just two cut bonuses were awarded in that Category and the Fantasy Leaguers with eight picks left have Dustin Johnson and Rory McIlroy to thank for missing out on the full set. Beninho and Kwinigolfer have eight picks left. EmmDee57, Eyetoldyouso, Owen10ozzy, and SirBenson all have seven picks left and out of that quartet EmmDee57 and Owen10ozzy earned two cut bonuses. AlciG, Davie, GolferMartin, LadyPutt, McLaren, Pedro, Raycastleunited, and Super_Realist all have six picks left; AlciG, Pedro, and Raycastleunited earned a cut bonus. I'm Never Wrong, Sand, and TheCleaver all have five picks left; I'm Never Wrong missed out on a cut bonus. BlueCoverman and SetupDetermines have just the four picks left.

With three scoring picks in a second, third, and fourth Eyetoldyouso came storming through the pack to take victory at the USPGA Championships. Third round leader Beninho had one more scoring pick but not enough overall quality to withstand Eye's charge.  AlciG also had four scoring picks. You are right though, views out of the clubhouse is great, apart from the "amusement arcade" stuff and the associated riff raff and car planks by the sea.
Possibly one of  the greatest closing hole in Scotland Leven's 18th though.

Don't see the point of having 2 clubs on the same course, must be so inefficient organising tee times when it's busy. At least both start on the same hole don't they? I think Wimbledon / London Scottish share a course with clubhouses in different places so different starting points.

Leven has a great 18th.

By the way, £620 for 18 months is incredible!

It's OK when you're retired as I am now. No fighting for tee times at weekends and evenings are probably the best time with no one on the course - even on Saturday when we were there for a meal

Definitely! Blackout curtains are a must for a good night's sleep, if the seagulls (which wake at about 4.30) give us a chance But perfect for a few holes of late afternoon golf. Not so sure we're looking forward to the winter though
