Im usually very positive, all for letting things play out, but I Watched the title match this morning and am absolutely staggered at how much mess they were able to make in 5 mins of action.

An absolute clusterf*** of heels and faces

Triple H returns - gets cheered to the rafters obviously. Face. Attacks the supposed face Reigns. Heel. Then screws Rollins. Face again. In favour of Owens. Heel??? Whose win gets cheered to the rafters even though he's a heel. Not to mention Owens deserves to win the title properly when it is his time to win it - now his first ever WWE world title has Triple H's hands all over it and it really didn't need to.

Arrrrrrrgggggh this was horrible. It's not made easy by awful fans in attendance every week who make it impossible to storyline anything in terms of good and bad. But still - this was an utter omnishambles.

Viva Smackdown!

HHH vs Seth was planned anyway.

They can go many ways with it now HHH vs Seth, RAW vs SD vs NXT if really wanted.

So Seth is the face in that??

Whats is Roman going to do? Honestly he should have been out of this entirely and continued the Rusev feud

Rusev's been made to look like a b'tch so far. Its like they are scared to make Roman look weak in any way. Has he put anyone over as stronger other than Brock?

Rollins has always beaten him - AJ came out of the Reigns feud with his reputation enhanced. He gets a bit of an unfair rap for me does Reigns

As for Raw itself - loved it. Sure it's a bit of a clusterf*ck but that's what added to it for me - I think the storyline is Seth will be a face against HHH as heel and Owens will do his own thing (as heel) but the smarky crowds obviously don't help it.

I thought it was a cracking ending, yes i can understand the confusion of who is face and heel, but at the end of the day that is just down to the excitement of the crowd.

Rollins vs HHH - Interesting what will happen with HHH, is he coming back as a superstar? Is he really the GM and Foley was just being made as a puppet?

Delighted for Owens though, best thing about Raw.

Was more the strength thing. He's always been booked as a big guy over everyone but Brock in what I've seen(I didn't watch his stuff with Show tbf, must have been painful). Now they put him in against a monster heel and they keep doing the same thing. Not only do I find it harder to root for a face if he's made to look so dominant over a monster it really damages Rusev. Reigns is also the worst person possible to book this way atm he needs to struggle a bit ffs

Post by Kay Fabe on Tue 30 Aug 2016, 2:14 pm

I'm happy to see Owens as Champion, I love the guy, hos character is so on point it's borderline ridiculous, I'd have preferred to see him win it after long journey but due to injuries and suspensions the need for it to happen now is understandable.

The ending was a mess though, the match itself was pretty interesting and really enjoyable until the HHH involvement, I've got nothing against him getting involved but taking out both Reigns and Rollins felt way to OTT and the Rollins attack was so telegraphed I doubt many were shocked when it played out.

I like the notion of a Rollins/HHH feud and it'll cement Rollins as a top face by the end of it, he'd have got there anyway but it's far more interesting than watch him turn face almost by default if he has another feud with Reigns, it also takes Rollins out of the Title picture for a while which is what needs to happen.

I felt Owens deseved to win the Title a better way, even after HHH hit the Pedigree I'd have liked to have seen him pick up Rollins and hit a pop up Powerbomb before pinning him.

It'll be interesting to see where they go from here, there's a distinct lack of faces for Owens to dance with at the moment, the whole Owens/Jericho combination was going to lead to a feud anyway so they could always go down that route, the problem for me is Jericho is doing some of his best ever work but the whole gimmick only works as a heel so unless they go down a heel vs heel route (which could work for a quick 3/4 week program) my worry is they'll turn Jericho face again which in the long term would be for nothing.

Think it would've made a lot more sense if Rusev had taken Reigns out separately as Nando said, then have HHH screw Seth separately.

HHH attacking Reigns first makes sense. Reigns beat him for the title at Mania, which was the last time we saw him. Plants the seeds that he's going to help Rollins before turning on him. I dont know how HHH coming out and immediately attacking Rollins would have went down.

I liked the nod to Owens before he dropped Rollins, and celebrating with him afterwards. It'll be interesting to hear why he turned on Rollins. Rumour is Owens will defend against Rollins at Clash of Champions. If anyone two guys on the roster can get Rollins over as a face its HHH and Kevin Owens.

Jericho has been on point lately.

Love Owens, as I have been saying a long time. But that was a clusterf*ck. HHH now feuds with Rollins and Reigns? Rusev should have taken Reigns out...no question for me.

Well done Big Cass for everything in that show. Hes rough around the edges, sometimes you can see him getting ready for spots, but thought he delivered. Could use a good feud with some big men, would actually enjoy him and Enzo vs Show and Kane.

Only other interesting part of the show was Neville vs Jericho.

The Heyman segment was also bonkers

Seems odd to me. 'We're in direct competition with SmackDown but go ahead and watch their PPV.' I mean, I know they cant exactly say not to watch it, but atleast promote Clash of Champions, and leave SmackDown to promote Backlash.

Rumour has it that KO only knew about Triple H coming back and that he would get pedigreed and the title would go on Seth, and when Triple H put him in the ring he told him 'just go with what happens next' and only Vince, HHH, Steph and Rollins knew this was the real finish.

If thats true then that makes it even more awesome.

Cant be the only one thinking Sami going over KO in their feud then falling down the card while Kevin gets the top belt is a little weird right?

Did Sami really go over tho? They kinda just traded wins? Think both came out looking stronger, and definitely don't think we've seen the last that feud at all

That feud will never be over. Owens references him all the time, although I honestly think he does that because he wants his friend to be up there and relevant constantly.

Given the way it ended id say Sami won. Match of the Year for me that (though I don't watch NJPW or Lucha)

He always does it against a smaller more flexible guy, shouldn't use it against anyone who can't take the full move

If thats true then that makes it even more awesome.

The one I heard was HHH, Rollins and Reigns were the only ones to know what was going down and KO, Mick and Stephs faces were legit shock

Eliminations were meant to be Cass then Owens with Reigns going over

TBH Watching it first time and seeing HHH talking to KO as he put him in the ring and his face when he won I was wondering if someone got injured and they called an audible and the second and third time I watched it too

That one comes from Meltzer so not sure how much weight you can put in it

Remember when KO debuted and his wife videoed his son? She only got it a few mins later so may be some truth in him not knowing he was going over

The acting wasnt even that good...seems odd to me that people would think it was unscripted for KO. He did good wrestling acting, which is generally a bit OTT and hammy in those situations.

Second time in a week nornally rational Wrestling fans are being worked, guess you have to give kudos to the WWE for that.

I can't get my head around why anyone would genuinely believe Stephanie wouldn't know the finish, it just wouldn't happen

She'd have eaten Hunter's balls if he'd pulled a stunt like that

Laugh Live on air, he'd be jobbing to Slater for the rest of the year (which would probably be the best thing the WWE have done all year)
