You see, that's what football is all about. Rugby would never allow that carry-on.

Ah those were the days, when a good punch up was interrupted by some flash chaps in the backs trying to throw the ball around. Makes my eyes water.

Now they are squashed a little, Geordie, *ahem* in terms of screen resolution, that is.

They look like how rugby teams could often look in these parts in days gone by. Big eating heavy bulks.... but of course, the shape is changing, now they have to be big but with go-all-day batteries, thus a lot of that excess baggage would have to go to get them up to speed for even a 60 minute game.

Yeah, but you look at the likes of the Kenyan sides, they are getting fitter!

Yes, you're right though, it's surprising how quickly the sense of elite changes to commonplace as if by osmosis.
Well............... apart from the ABs that is. Their elite level is virtually impossible to keep pace with and I feel we might have that proven to us at the weekend.

I do think it will be the Kenyans who are the next one to make it to be honest...although if you look at the Zimbabweans...they seem to be progressing again.

ANd I have done the Namibians a disservice by completely forgetting them! But I think they will cease to be the main one behind the SA on that continent soon as countries with much larger populations will begin to over take them.
