Bangladesh making History in NZ
on what was meant to be a seaming pitch......BD is 547-7....and it seems D1 was run curtailed , I didn't follow...today they smashed nearly 400 runs
and whose else but their talismatic shakib smashing a double 100....Mushafiqur scored a 150
NZ should be able to force a draw.......but BD is growing on confidence and stature......a better team than Lanka on form

It's almost like they're becoming a good test team - despite what Barry, 55, from Barnsley was saying when England got a drawn series against them a month or two back.
Happy for them - not sure they have the seamers to pull off the win - but a great performance so far nonetheless

Shakib and Mushfiqur's scores in this innings are now the top and second highest scores by a Bangladeshi batsman outside Asia.
Mehedi already getting some turn in the 1st over of the NZ innings too

Looks like a draw. But NZ have given themselves some chance going into day five...
Would be quite an effort if they could win from where this match was on day three !

BD one familiar collpase away from losing .....they have to bat 45 overs tomm at normal scoring rate to save the game.
the worst they can do.....is stonewall for a draw
Santner is the best non asian spinner on view along with Lyon for me and a capable batsman too......growing in the footprints of Vettori

They certainly did make history - making the highest ever first innings score to lose a Test!

Re: Bangladesh making History in NZ
The moment New Zealand made 292-3 at the end of day 3, I had a sense Bangladesh could still lose this one. NZ made 539 eventually in their first innings, Bangladesh drifted along in their 2nd innings and there was an all too familiar batting collapse, and a nearly unlosable position was turned around into a great come-from-behind win for the opposition.

Gutted for Bangladesh, however they threw it away themselves...they really shouldn'y have lost that, credit to NZ though, great chase, good attacking batting, and a good win for them
