You lose your skipper and best player in the first minute of the first Test. You've got to believe that had an effect on the outcome

Yes because the great man really racked up the victories against New Zealand when he recovered from that unsavoury incident.

Do you really think BOD would want NZ to win just to get one back on Gatland?

As anyone who grew up in Britain or Ireland, around the winter of discontent, will tell you BOD was the name of a cartoon character who first appeared in his eponymous series in 1975. The 13 episodes were based around the four Bod books written by Joanne and Michael Cole. It is a cel animated cartoon series narrated by John Le Mesurier and Maggie Henderson with music by Derek Griffiths and produced by David Yates. The four books were published in 1965 in the United Kingdom and later in the United States and France. They are: Bod's Apple, Bod's Present, Bod's Dream and Bod and the Cherry Tree. The French version of Bod's Apple is called La Pomme de Gus.
That is who the original BOD was, as for the other one, he was a centre who pulled on the green shirt of Ireland on more than one occasion and managed to score quite a few decent tries in a reasonably long and quite successful career, apparently.
