For all the pressing in the world, Liverpool lack quality across the middle of the park...when Salah was on Kroos-Modric sat back deeper because their was a threat. Since he went off they slightly further forward and controlling the middle of the park..

Keita will be a good addition in summer and they definitely need another CM and a GK.

Gareth Bale has been in ominous form recently - but is clearly thought of as an extra / impact player by Zidane at the moment. I had feared for Liverpool if he was playing as I was wanting Liverpool to win. I hadn't factored in that Sergio Ramos would physically assault Mo Saleh by physically trapping his arm and then yanking it out of its shoulder socket. There will be a lot of angry Egyptians.

Klopp has badly mismanaged Liverpools GK situation since he arrived and its shown up massively in the CL final.

World Class Keepers...scratch that...even just very good keepers dont make those mistakes....certainly not in big games like this.

As GSC says, Klopp has ballsed up his GK choices from day 1. Great spending 75 million to shore up your defense...but when the ball gets past them you need a keeper who can catch a ball!

No way they sell Bale now....thats two massive goals in 2 of their last 3 Champions League games. This year has shown that Ronaldo is on the decline in the sense of being impactful across the pitch (in fact his last 3 seasons he has slowly regressed in terms of his ability to play across the front 3)....Bale has 5 years on Ronaldo and that I think is a factor Madrid will think about..

I would say only Mbappe & Neymar signing would move them towards selling him.

Congrats Madrid...3 in a row is a huge achievement...Zidane one of only 3 to achieve that feat. He will be their next year despite them being so far behind in the league...that shows where the priority lies for Spanish teams when it comes to League or Europe....

13 OF LAST 19 Euro Competition Winners are Spanish....Premier League may be best league from an excitement stand point....but much like internationally, we have a way to go when it comes to winning the big ones.

Real probably just about edged it. Once Liverpool failed to score from their opening burst, you had to fancy Real to squeeze them out.

What I did find interesting was the attitude of players at the final whistle...not one Liverpool player went over to console Karius...obviously his mistakes have cost them big time but you would think a supposedly close knit group like we hear all the time Liverpool are would have rallied round him...

And Ronaldo barely even acknowledged Bale at the end....moments like that are why I would always pick Messi as a better player than Ronaldo!

The other way to look at it is he exceeds expectations getting to the final...

Big one for me is Dortmund Bayern, he probably had the better team at that time.
