Opening night results:

Cleveland Cavaliers 117-88 New York Knicks
Portland Trail Blazers 113-104 Utah Jazz
Golden State Warriors 100-129 San Antonio Spurs

The Warriors 'Super team' lacked cohesion as the Spurs ripped them apart. Kevin Durrant scored 27 on debut, but Kawhi Leonard silenced the Oracle Arena with a career best 35 point game.

Russell Westbrook took his Oklahoma City Thunder to the Oracle arena last night for the much anticipated showdown with Kevin Durant. Westbrook turned up wearing hi-vis bib with a message to former buddy Durant...post match Westbrook must've regretted firing up KD. Durant dropped 39 with 7 3s as the Warriors routed the Thunder 122-96. It's starting to click now for the Warriors 'super team' after the blow out loss on opening night, it's 4 straight wins now.

I really hope they don't win it all, though. Was nice to see them get taken down a notch by the Spurs on opening night. Here's hoping the wheels fall off, however unlikely that might be.

doesn't look good for the nba's competitive balance, that durant move. just looks a nailed on Cleveland/Warriors final repeat.

Knicks currently 1-3, even with Rose, Noah & Carmelo. Need them to start gelling quick

Can't wait for Christmas Day, the Warriors go to Cleveland. Should be a barn stormer!

As for the competitive balance I've got no issue with Golden State being loaded with stars, it increases the spectical. Even the neutrals tune in to see if the 'Super team' lost.

As for the Warriors, it seems as though they are built around Durant and he's being pushed for the MVP. No egos at Golden State, Curry and Thompson still give it their all.

Curry is the best pure shooter I've ever seen. But this is even ridiculous for Curry's standards after his 157 game streak of scoring at least one 3 pointer ended against the Lakers(where Curry was 0-10 from downtown)

Curry was bound to break that record eventually.

The NBA is looking more open than some thought it would so far.

Cavs, Spurs, Hawks, Bulls, Raptors, Warriors and Thunder all look good.

Atalanta Hawks also improved to 6-2 with a 115-107 win against the inconsistent Chicago Bulls

Don't see KD leaving Warriors if they keep hold of Curry, Thompson and Green. It's the best route to win multiple rings.
