Yesterday saw the most votes so far in the groups with the qualifiers changing position throughout the day. Flipper's threat of a ban for voting for Muse paid off as they were pipped to a place by the run away leader Ray Charles and runner up Blur.
In the other group Elvis Costello narrowly missed out as Sex Pistols and Neil Young shared victory.

Here's the first of today's groups:

2. Janis Joplin
3. The Dead Kennedys
4. Louis Armstrong
5. Grateful Dead

I considered voting for Louis as my second choice but it would've been an insult to the Dead Kennedys, the greatest musicians of the post-classical era.
