Ali gone now but what an innings, England were under some pressure when he arrived. Absolute class clap

Not sure but think Buttler did similar in his 44 ball hundred - might've been a ball or two more tho

What the most important thing to remember here is not that Ali got the 100 but that he has also given England a very good position in regards to DL. His effort today may prove even more vital and important later in the day if the weather has any influence...

Wow! Those 50 overs were full of twists and turns. An excellent innings from Ali has surely settled things. The Windies their own worst enemies at times.

One of the great ODI innings from Ali, then.

Hope it counts for something, as there is a band of rain bearing down on Bristol.

Ali with an early catch as well to get rid of a very dangerous Lewis. Already man of the match in my mind, whatever happens.

Seems Stokes has been a naughty boy and will miss tomorrow's ODI match along with Hales. Roy called in for Hales but no word on who will replace Stokes as yet.

With the game being played at the Oval, some of the locals are hoping Surrey's Tom Curran makes his ODI debut.

Gayle gone in the first over for 2. He is their lynchpin so this could be a very short day for the Windies.

Actually quite impressed with the Windies today. They are really putting up a good fight, I was sure they would crumble after Gayle went.

Excellent 100 for Lewis clap

He's been magnificent in the CPL for a bit now - genuinely better than Gayle the past season. He's a ludicrous striker of a cricket ball

Salutary lesson of the day - if you hit a cricket ball as hard as Evin Lewis, get your own leg out of the way. Possibly deprived us of the first ODI double hundred in England.

England to chase 356. Could be fun

Superb from Lewis. Didn't think Moeen's efforts could be bettered so soon!

Windies can be backed at 4/5, which I think is very generous given the circumstances.

A very strong chance that the weather will affect this game within the next 15-20 overs. Does not look like England will get this one. Simply a fantastic innings from Lewis has taken the game away from them, a real shame that he hurt himself and I hope that it is not too bad.

If the weather holds off, I think they do Duty. They are scoring at a decent tempo and keeping ahead of the DL score. Lose 1 or 2 quick wickets and they could be in trouble. Have next to no faith in Morgan batting anymore.

84 from 66 for Roy who feathers on behind - has done his job and got England off to a great start, and ahead of the rate clap

England just need to be careful and not get bogged down with Bairstow/Root now in

DL par score is getting very close now. One of these two has to take the Roy role and play shots to stay ahead.

Bairstow out exactly the same way as Roy to Joseph. Very soft dismissals. Come on Morgan, prove me wrong now in having no faith in ye.

If Bairstow is gonna play like that he has to make 90 off 100, not 39 off 50 odd. England in danger of throwing it away

Root falls now to Joseph. That's 3 for him and he has hardly looked threatening as a bowler.
