Bob Arum has confirmed lightweight unification between Vasyl Lomachenko(WBA/Ring) and Jose Pedraza(WBO) is set for December 1, but be pushed back to December 8 depending on PacMan's fight plans.

Not a lot Lomachenko can do when the unified champion at 135 wants to fight everyone in any other division apart from the Ukrainian

It’s Arum who doesn’t want the fight Garcia only going for Spence because Bob doesn’t want to fight him

Show me proof Mikey doesn’t want the fight

You can’t can you..

You can’t because Garcia been chasing that fight for two years already

Same Mikey Garcia who refused to fight Jorge Linares, Linares despite holding the WBA title was mandatory for the WBC since he relinquished that when he broke his hand. Mikey is good at talking

I think some of his fans are genuinely worried about fighting Mikey

They’ve called their man a genius so what’s the delay Mikey’s ready

I think they’ve seen that little shift he does to the right which looks unusual/impressive but it’s just a Ukrainian folk dance move

Real genius for me is someone who’s almost impossible to hit cleanly Floyd or Pea

Who knows who’d win out of Loma and Mikey but let’s not get it twisted there are no hold ups Mikey’s end

Bob doesn’t want the fight yet Mikey’s too much of a risk. So the fans are deprived of the fight they want to see. Bob’ll only fight him if it becomes so big it has to happen Bob’s words. Better than Ali but he won’t fight Mikey! Always the same with Bob over hypes when he’s ducking. Crawford better than Leonard maybe Bob doesn’t want to fight Spence! Let’s see

DAZN had its first card in America during the night, in Chicago

Jarrell Miller, weighing an incredible 317lbs, demolished Tomasz Adamek inside 2 rounds. Miller was nearly 100lbs heavier than the Pole.

Callum Johnson lost to Artur Beteriev by 4th round  KO, Johnson knocked down the Russian in the second round(first time in Beteriev's career he's been floored) but he couldn't finish him off. Beteriev closed the show

Gavin McDonnell lost by 10th round KO to Daniel Roman. McDonnell's lack of power was evident

Jessie Vargas drew with Thomas Dulorme

Wonder if Bivol would take a fight with Beterbiev now he's seen a chink in his armour?

Beterbiev vs Bivol is the only realistic unification bout at 175 at present. It's a good fight and tbh Johnson hits way harder than Bivol, is expect beterbiev to ko Bivol who's looked quite poor in some of his fights.

Beterbiev and Alvarez won't fight as they share the same trainer. The winner of Stevenson/Gvozdyk would also be a good bout for beterbiev

Very interesting to say the least over the next few years to see how it plays out

I thought that was an utterly apathetic showing from Hughie Fury. Any decent fighter would have realised that the lean back and counter approach was not working and would have tried something else. Not Hughie. He just wanted to do the same thing over and over. First round aside, very poor from Fury. Pulev barely broke sweat and shook off 12 rounds of ring rust. I don't think AJ will be quaking in his boots over Pulev though - he's hardly Povetkin.

Bob wants to put up some of these ppv fights before they go extinct lol

Can tell he really wants Crawford/Spence and says everything can be worked out with a bit of brains and ingenuity but it’s hypocritical to blame Mikey’s affiliation to Showtime therefore as a roadblock to Loma/Mikey which Bob’s been doing of late

Wants Crawford/Spence less so Mikey/Loma imo

In other news you sense Hoya is going to do his best over the next year or two to manufacture beef with Eddy. He wants to take over and put on ppv’s on top of the subscription charge. Or am I reading too much into it? Eddy and I believe him when he says it is committed to seeing an end to ppv in boxing in America- which has to be a good thing. Oscar loves ppv always says how he’s looking to build the next ppv star. Eddy’s got more drive than Oscar. Oscar should try to co-exist rather than take over. He’s got no chance of beating Eddy

Difference between Usyk and Crawford is that while both of them are undisputed champions, Usyk beat his main rivals so is a proven champion imo whereas arguably the best man at 140 was Prograis all along(Regis very vocal in calling out Crawford) so Crawford still unproven in my eyes

Crawford obviously a very good fighter but this talk of Crawford at number one p4p is premature imo. He won’t be number one even if he beats Spence either imo

Hope that didn’t sound disrespectful to Bellew. All we wanted was him to face the best man at the weight. So after this he can have as many gimmick fights as he likes. You can’t begrudge him. I’m sure he can make the fight with Usyk very interesting as the Ukrainian doesn’t hit that hard and Tony isn’t anywhere near as static as Huck. I want to see Usyk really timed just once too

Floyd beat Manny but Manny still got a better resume than Floyd. More ambitious in his matchmaking than Floyd

Mikey Garcia ditched the IBF lightweight title, as his expected bout with Errol Spence Jr comes closer to being confirmed. Shame as I wanted to see Lomachenko vs Garcia for the undisputed championship.

Kell Brook fighting another bum in December. Australian Michael Zepata at a catchweight. Zepata is best known for being slaughtered by Peter Quillin. Brook is that dosser who doesn't want to earn a payday with Khan, but feels he's owed a payday.

See Mikey boxed Lipinets, so Crawford should have boxed Prograis and then Mikey against the winner. That’s how the division should have played out

The winner of that something special who’s then primed to directly challenge the numero uno at welterweight

But boxing not what it used to be

Look at Crawford record still haven’t faced a top boy moves up just as 40’s getting super hot now can’t secure Spence

Hope fans demand Crawford fights Thurman or Porter. Can’t be calling out your Khans at this stage

But Bob’s MO it’s as clear as crystal- milk against lesser oppo(preferably in house) while waiting on a big fight. The longer the wait the better

Bob moved up cos Prograis was ready and it’s agreed Spence won’t be ready till back end of 2019

It’ll be Khan or in house until Spence won’t take on anything too dangerous

Yes Spence doesn’t want Crawford yet either but at least he’ll be taking on dangerous fights- Garcia, Thurman, Porter etc.

But everything can be sorted out when the money’s big enough. So the fans have to wait down to promoter’s greed

Manny needs to retire or there's a danger he'll tarnish what is a good legacy.
Floyd needs to stop opening his mouth and just be happy he retired as the undisputed no.1 at the time.

Matchmaking seems to be getting worse lately (or it may just be me) far too many turning up to pick up a pay check or maybe i'm just jaded as F.

Still not convinced Fury/Wilder is going to happen and it seems to have gone quiet on that front

If Manny beat Broner and Mikey would he rank above Floyd in the all time standings?

Would his greater depth cancel out Floyd’s win over him?

Can’t knock Manny’s longevity taking fights as dangerous as Mikey at this stage of his career

If he beat Broner I don't think it'll mean much as he isn't that highly regarded anymore. If he beat Mikey then there's a definite case for him to be above Floyd.

Personally think Floyd and Manny have similar records and the main standout really is that Floyd beat Manny.

Whilst as you say Hermy you can't knock Manny for taking a dangerous fight now but he could really do without anymore losses to the likes of Horn which will be used by some to knock him down the rankings (and please god stay away from Khan)

That’s exactly how I see it, Derby

Floyd probably still ahead- while Broner does nothing for Manny a win over Mikey might just tilt it back to Manny

How about Manny against Regis? Be no arguments if he beat Regis. Regis was vocal about calling Mikey out too. Did Mikey see Errol as an easier(less difficult) option than Regis?

And how about Floyd to come back for Regis? Don’t think he should though coz Regis the first guy for years who I could actually see putting a beating on Floyd

Back to Bob- does everyone see it now?

Moves up to fight Spence only he’s got a deal with Sam that they’ll marinate for two years

Bob knew the Spence fight wasn’t happening!

So yes Bob running from Regis

7.55s   Brant makes sense because he’s got a title

9.23s   Reason they wanted Saunders because he had the WBO belt. Andrade now has the WBO belt but according to Abel nobody’s interested in that fight

Obsessing on a third Canelo fight

But fans aren’t too bothered about a third fight

Got everything they needed from the first two- that they’re evenly matched and their styles don’t particularly gel

At least we got one thing for sure won’t be moving up to challenge Smith(though last month was ruminating on DeGale fight)

Which is good because the middleweight division looks as strong now as at any time during his term. We know it’s about optimising your earnings but the legacy fights are still to come. Abel just waiting on someone to emerge from the pack. Abel knows it’s a business but he knows it’s about giving the fans the fights they wants to see too. Wins over an Andrade or Charlo can get back some of the aura which if you remember reached its peak somewhere around the Brook fight and of course optimise that decider with Canelo

I would like to see Canelo v GGG 3...Wouldn't rule out the heavy handed Fielding causing an upset though..

Burns v Cardle..

For both it is a chance to get back into the mix..Cardle has been a big disappointment.

Usyk ko11 Bellew
