Fiorentina Turner v Fussball
- Voter 1:
- Fiorentina v Fusball
Turner have had some poor luck with injuries, and Belotti being their big name obviously hurts them. I think Van Dijk can marshal Falcao well, and their biggest threat will come from out wide with a strong pair of attacking full backs backing up Chiesa/Lo Celso.
Trebs side looks strong down the middle, with Sule/Casemiro a good defensive spine. Sanson adds some craft in midfield, but the key for Trebs will be the success of that attacking midfield 3, and they are all very good players who offer a lot of threat in different ways. I think they'll give the Turner defence more they can handle, and I think their right side with Valencia/Bailey up against a somewhat exposed Wendell, that will be the key to the game.
Fusball to take this in a well fought but ultimately comfortable win
- Voter 2:
- fussball vs turner - fussball win
- Voter 3:
- Turner v Fussball.
Win for Fussball.
I think Turners lack of back up strikers and speed in the centre is playing into Trebs plans. The false 9 move was forced upon Turner rather than being a tactical move. Trebs attacking midfield gets a lot of joy even with Van Dijk being an excellent signing. Turners problems still persist with playing De Rossi who can't keep up with the pace.
Turner need a better DM and another striker. Fussball have a very good team now but would upgrade the CF.
- Result:
- Fussball - Unanimous

SAS v Ebbsfleet United
- Voter 1:
- SAS v Ebbsfleet
With Ebbsfleet looking to retain possession here i can see that working with the midfield they have, the high pressing will work but only for a short time and can see Ebbsfleet taking full advantage of this. Have to go for an Ebbsfleet win here
- Voter 2:
- SAS v Ebbsfleet
Really difficult to call here. Ebbsfleet have gone very defensive to counter the pace threat of the SAS front 3, but I think that it just gives them very little to go forward with, Brandt is better out wide and I find it difficult to rate Tosun given I've barely seen anything of him.
SAS have issues too, the high line is suited to their CBs, but they lack a bit of quality in the middle 3rd to really make use of the lethal qualities of their front 3. I don't see them having too many issues dealing with Brandt/Tosun however.
I think SAS pressing game will help here, as if they are able to nick the ball up the field they will be up against a very deep defensive line immediately. Ultimately this will give the front 3 the chance to make something happen, and in a scrappy and tight game, I think a piece of individual brilliance from distance will be the difference
SAS win
- Voter 3:
- SAS v Ebbsfleet
I like both sides, I feel Ebbsfleet congested the middle of the park with their formation, which stopped SAS being able to get at them, but equally there wasn't enough attacking threat from Ebbsfleet to cause SAS any problems.
Ordinarily I'd say it's a 0-0, and as much as I enjoy sh*thouse tactics I don't think I can award Ebbsfleet the win today as there just wasn't enough of a presence. SAS get the win for me, but I do feel if Twist had been braver, maybe an extra attacker and one less midfielder, he could have won this.
- Result:
- SAS - Split

Deportivo Moron v Shakhtar Senseless
- Voter 1:
- Moron vs Shaktar - Shaktar
Again very close would call a draw if could. Think the overall quality of Shaktar will win despite the Poopie of Andre Silva
- Voter 2:
- Moron v Shakhtar
I like both teams, two very good tacticians as well however with Bam looking to control possession against essentially a 5 in midfield, i can see the likes of Bender Tielemans etc taking full advantage of that in the central areas of the pitch (instructed by Marky) therefore i have to go for a Shakhtar win here.
- Voter 3:
- Moron v Shakhtar
A really tricky one to call. I think both defences will have the better of the opposition attack, and it will be a game of few chances. It will be decided by the smaller things - I prefer the Moron midfield 3, and Guedes/Henrichs and Coman/Gaya will have some success against the Shakhtar wingbacks and this the only thing I can find to separate the two sides
Moron win
- Result:
- Shakhtar - split

Re: Week 13 Results
Olympique Marswag v Cape-Coast Mysterious Dwarfs
- Voter 1:
- Marswag vs Dwarf's
two quite close sides going head to head...Marswag have the advantage for me purely because I don't think the Dwarves get it out wide-enough to really hurt them, leaves Jesus isolated against the defence, that for me is the only clear issue. other than that it's hard to split, prefer Marswags def and mid prefer the dwarf's front-four...has draw written all over it but ultimately Marswag bag a win.
- Voter 2:
- Marswag vs Cape Costa - Marswag win
Close game not sure why Chiellini is on the bench? Overall think Miky has the stronger team and is set up well to break down the Cape Coast back line easier then the other way
- Voter 3:
- Both teams basically just go hell for leather at each other and go for broke, defence feck it this is Klopp tactics at it’s best. Formation wise as a result it’s tips more so in Marswag’s favour but that also then means Dwarfs gets to hit on the counter. Two main bones of contention for me, for Marswag’s the high tempo wanes with the late substitutions and the fact he’s subbing Coric on in both the 80th and 85th minute for different players, for Cape-Coast it’s not subbing off Reus, the constant RL injuries will continue to play a part in voting until he’s proven his match fitness and keeping him for a full 90 mins is a risk. Afro has the stronger attack, Miky has the stronger defence and midfield. Overall it’s a slight nod towards Miky’s team but they’re holding on for grim death in a high scoring game come the end.
- Result:
- Marswag - Unanimous

Re: Week 13 Results
Deportivo Wanka v Kalamazoo Outrage
- Voter 1:
- outrage vs wanka - outrage win
- Voter 2:
- wanka vs outrage
I like the 3-5-2 much more than the 3-4-3 has a better core strength and 2 central strikers, keeping Outrages defence busy, Fekir looks the business too so a very potent attack.
feel with 3 CB's could have a bit more creativity as one of the 2 CM's.
don't think the WB's have the discipline you want in a "back 5" better to let them play and let the defenders do their job.
outrage need a better back-up keeper, I like the back four, think Sessegnon is a wonderful prospect. Back 2 are out-fought BUT because their WB's are told to hang back the FB's aren't really tested which is a shame.
SMS & Pellegrini is solid and a better option than Paulinho and Doucoure, and I like your front-four
high scoring draw this would be as both sides are better up-top than in defence..but as that isn't allowed it's a coin toss victory for.............Wanka
- Voter 3:
- Kalamazoo vs Wanka
Good set of tactics from Nando - I can see them being a very hard-working unit and in Arnautovic and Fekir causing problems on the counter. But Kalamazoo have planned for this and have a fantastic side, so for me there's only one way it can go as I'm forced to pick a winner. Kalamazoo win.
- Result:
- Kalamazoo - Split

Re: Week 13 Results
Unless I’m reading this wrong, there is two votes for a SAS win and one for a Ebbsfleet?
