Personally I wouldn't bother at all, but not going to oppose it. If we do it, I have plenty of my players promoted from youth that I would sell at their season 1 value (as its also their season 2 value)

I agree with everything here except the only thing i would perhaps question is no prize money at all. The way things started to die off at the end of the first season were dangerous to the league in terms of longevity. If people don't have something to aim for then they will start giving up, maybe award a flat 5-10m for top 3 then the rest get a flat 2-5m or something along those lines, the smaller the better IMO. I would go with something like:

1st - £5m
2nd - £3m
3rd - £2m

Now you may think this isn't worth bothering for either but i also agree with the point you made Afro about values increasing, we need something to give incentive to try and win the league. What do you all think.

I agree with this Miky. My point about no prize money was in relation to season 1. I think I made the point earlier about setting season 2 prize money up front.

The other option I have raised previously is to have sponsorships which give individual targets and prize money. In the past we have given a choice, with increasing rewards for more challenging targets, and you have to pick your sponsor.

So even if someone thinks they cannot win the league, they would still have something to aim towards

Add relegation and a top four cup competition or something?

What happens with relegation though? Cup competition might be an idea

Sponsorship ideas:
- Win the league
- Top 3 finish
- Top half finish
- Beat rival (randomly draw which teams are rivals, ie the two Melbourne teams in a derby, or do 1st vs 2nd, 3rd vs 4th, 5th vs 6th and so on from last seasons league placings)
- Improve league position by x amount of places

Or we have a sponsorship deal working per week (yes Hero by the way feel free to archive season 1).

For example.

Hero won the league so his team gets a decent level sponsorship which perhaps gives some money at the start of the season and a certain amount of money per week like £500k-1m for a win or something or just a smaller fee per,  for example someone at the bottom league could get some sort of boosted bonus company which signs them up with the incentive of helping to improve the team to improve league position. Just a thought, id rather it was a flat rate than a massive injection for multiple things albeit a good idea Bam.

Id prefer the teams lower down to get slightly improved amounts per week to help boost the funds almost as a catchup mechanic.

My idea was to take 1 or 2 of that list per team at a max, and it would be a target for that side alone

You could do that yeah, its a good suggestion but again, I wouldnt want huge amounts offeree, we have to be sensible especially with potential money coming in from future lawyers with no cap.

How would we work out the rival thing though?

Either allocate a rival based on a random draw, or look at what makes sense ie the two Melbourne sides having a derby

Or just base it on last season league placings
1st vs 2nd
3rd vs 4th etc

Im not sure sponsors are needed to be honest with all the money in the league already.

An addition to season 2 btw, please add a section to your teams original post for incomings and outgoings, im not putting that to a vote either. Im doing it as well and I forgot to do it myself last season so should be no excuse, it not only helps me but it will help you guys as well.

I can do scorers etc, will obviously need hero to provide the info from games.

Can we (or at least I) do End of Season lawyers? Just because some don't need it, it seems to have been ignored.

I dont want them Marky, too much money will be in the league total by mid season 2.

I'm obviously doing streams, what'll I try and do from it is then copy the link to the match and add to the results page each week for people to watch as and when they want.

If everyone is willing to suffer the consequences, I'm free to do lawyers and injuries for the next two months
