I assume Nando has seen it. If so, he really needs a word with his keeper. Not so much Bale smashing it in, as the keeper falling under it.

I know we aren't rebooting for a while, but what's the idea for how we do it?

Will it be a case of being handed pre-selected teams again? Or can we draft?

I quite like to start with teams at a certain level, say league 2 and then fantasy football them up into a powerhouse team.

Make the league longer too.

Agree. I would start low and build. Budgets/prize money could gradually increase.

You have a choice then. Buy older but cheap high rated players. Or go for the long term wonderkids with a higher pay off

If the work is prepared to be done (I'd be happy to help during August, quiet months at work), I like the idea of a draft.

You have pots of players depending on how many teams in the league - so if you had 8 managers, you would have a pot of 16 goalkeepers, then have a draft for each position - switching up the order of where you pick (so for example Afro picks 1st and last for GKs, maybe 8th and 9th for CBs).

I don't think work on a draft is such an issue as the work setting up on FIFA.

Predefined teams are already set-up. Draft teams would need Hero to then go and move all the players around, which takes quite a long time. I did it on my FIFA and got fed up just doing mine and one other squad

True - but my worry with going predefined teams is what do we start with? I'd be against starting with too low a team (ie. league 2 team), because it then just becomes who gets the low value on TM, high rated on Fifa first game

In regards to the purchase of cheap but big players why not just impose a cap on fifa player ratings?
So if we start at League 2 level then the max fifa player rating for season 1 is 80?

Whilst I like the idea of a draft, or even a minefield draft, but its easy to say it will take no longer than this league when we weren't the ones who had to do it.

You could do Championship, Bundesliga 2, Ligue 2 etc, or even the Dutch or Belgian league without the big boys.

And then you could have a mini draft that allows people to pick up, say 5 further players.

I agree and if I end up winning the league then you should all really take note.

I'm mindful how long a draft will take to set up too for the guys doing the FIFA side. In my opinion the issues are.

1) Starting at a level which prolongs the life of the league
2) Having enough good players at that level
3) Current TM values having a suitable lawyer value to make the league fun with no cap.
4) If we have a draft format, making it manageable for the runners.

So merely as an example.....Championship teams with a draft for 3 star players per team.

Its never going to be about tactics because FIFA ratings will dominate that, Twist you are doing very well, not taking anything away from you but your team isn't low rated on FIFA.

Yes you did and thank you. But you also said that FIFA ratings would dominate over tactics. Which is plain wrong and has been proven not to be the case.

If it isn't then why am I top when better ranked teams in FIFA are below me AND who I have beaten? Luck?

Because it must be if it isn't the tactics I choose.
