Fred Tuilagi jnr signs with Colorno in Italian Pro 12. I hope he does well out there. He'd just started to kick on this last season.

He was looking leaner and more skillful at the end of last season. He needs to go and get some game time in to develop. There's no reason he can't make a name for himself there and end up in one the big Italian sides. I thought he'd have headed to France and League 2 but there you go.

Hope he has more luck in Italy than me, last time I went I put on half a stone in just under a week.

TPN left out of the Australia 31-man squad. Jake Kerr hasn't featured in the Scotland training squad either. Injury permitting both will be with Tigers for the start of the season.

There have been rumours that Jimmy Stevens is finally back in contact training as well.

Add Charlie Clare and that's an embarrassment of hooking options.

Tigers players reportedly involved in a scuffle in Portugal following training camp. A glass thrown at Youngs and Bateman punched in the face. Apparently there's footage somewhere too. Anyone know any more?

From the Mail (feel dirty now):

Video footage shows Leicester players sitting at a long table. They were in high spirits, having apparently spent several hours drinking.

New signing Noel Reid can be seen performing pull-ups on a beam over the table. It is understood that he was repeatedly told to get down and that when he persisted, the players were told they would not be served any more alcohol.

It appears that their increasingly boisterous conduct antagonised the pub staff and additional security arrived.

Several men stood facing the Tigers players and had an animated discussion with Youngs and fellow front-rower Greg Bateman.

Bateman was suddenly punched, as was another player whose face is obscured. The Leicester squad surged forward and shouted at the assailants but there is no evidence of them throwing a punch.

Once the melee moved outside, glasses were thrown by both sides. Youngs placed himself at the front of the group of players and stood with his hands outstretched as if attempting to defuse the situation, even as glasses were hitting him.

Reports make it sound like the Tigers lads were doing some old fashioned team bonding and messing about. Security got grumpy and called in some mates one of whom then punched Bateman which kicked it all off. Youngs was apparently in the middle trying to calm down both sides when hit by a thrown glass. Allegedly both sides threw drinks.

The reports suggest Noel Reid was doing pull ups on a beam which got security involved initially. Seems something out of nothing really. Don't know if the Tigers lads were being too boisterous for the management to be happy or whether the security were ar$eholes or a bit of both. Video footage is unlikely to have what was said and the language barrier might not have helped.

Sounds like it just escalated very quickly. Very admirable of Youngs to put himself in the middle like that if the reports are true. I guess when you're in a big group of lads you do attract attention, and any frivolity can be misconstrued as aggression or boisterousness

A lot of very big blokes drinking quite a lot probably attracts attention from security and let's face it Brits abroad don't have the best reputation.

Tom Youngs is club captain, good to see him being the voice of reason. Possibly good for security as well because it could have gone very nasty if his first reaction had been retaliation.
