Last time out: Dragons 12 - 25 Edinburgh
Record: Played each other 30 times, Edinburgh edging it (only marginally) 16 wins to 13 (with 1 draw in the mix as well)

Both teams are likely to be missing a number of players with Wales and Scotland in action the day before.
Also the sh*ttest KO time going, if you factor in the internationals the day before, I would imagine there will be max 5 Edinburgh fans travelling for this game.

So a 3pm kick off over 5pm would have made a significant difference for home fans travelling to the game?

Can't remember the last time I saw a Sunday game kick off at 5pm!

Not far in distance, no. But if we are to ‘embrace regionalism’ (or at least show willing) then we need to allow people from far flung (agin, not in distance) parts of the region to get to the game. Travelling to Newport from Ebbw Vale on a public bus, for example, might take the best part of 24 hours. Seriously!

Surely in that case people would rather an after game over trying to get home at 8pm on a Sunday night?

I was exaggerating quite a bit, and don’t really care about bus catchers from around the region! Yes, I’d personally prefer an earlier afternoon game but I think (guessing) it was something to do with public transport. Buses and trains are much reduced on a Sunday. Maybe the Dragons management had that in mind. I Seriously doubt they turned down the request to spite Edinburgh Or was it a short notice request? Maybe they felt it wasn’t acceptable to change time once they’d sold tickets, hospitality, etc? Who knows.

They have got good backs out there Edinburgh, they can score tries if the forwards give them the ball

Agree with Martin Williams - that pass into the ruck was an Edinburgh penalty. I'm not sure this ref knows all the rules.

Cockerill will be furious at this refereeing performance.

Really don't know why Cockerill keeps subbing Dean off for Socino when he's our best performer on the pitch. Especially when JJ has come bugger all.

I'm quite sure this is the same referee who penalised Crosbie against Ulster in the last minute of the game.

Dragons 9 has played well

We're going to lose this and deservedly so.

That doesn't mean the ref hasn't been crap.

VDW seems like Edinburgh’s best 10 in my opinion. Not convinced that Hickey is the way forward.

Graham working hard all night which has been great to see. Shame it’s taken Edinburgh so long to get an edge in the game because I think Dragons can close this out.

Hickey has been underwhelming this season, and is apparently one of our highest paid players
