Culture Cup Christmas Special - Round One Voting: Best Christmas Film

Well, here it is. Merry Christmas (film selection)!

Round One is Best Christmas Film. You can vote twice, if you are the kind who sticks to the rules. I would ask that you do.

If anyone would like to debate, argue, frantically type childish insults - your time is now!

Round Two will be Best Christmas Song - please send me your top (at least) three in preference order.

Went for Gremlins and Trading Places. Distressing to see that my choice has got f-all votes as usual despite it being by far the pick of the bunch as usual. I deserve a forum with a better class of poster.

Have never really thought of Trading Places as a Christmas film before so at least my knowledge has been broadened in that respect.

I'm so outraged to see Die Hard on the list that I had to vote for it. Ironically, you understand, but vote for it nonetheless.

It's also offensive that this is called a Christmas Special. Not everyone is a Christian. It should be a "Holidays" special, although not everyone gets holidays, our special people in the services don't. It's not even that special. Cup. We should call it Cup. Just Cup. Not The Just Cup though. Cup.

Am I close to "getting it"?

Oh and Trading Places. Superb.

Is it too early to start making 'I demand a people's vote' jokes?

Dan Aykroyd as Santa may be ugly, but not the worst. One of these films has a Zombie Santa - just saying.

In tennis terms it has love, actually.

Muppets and Home alone for me. I was an adult when these came out, but still loved them, and loved them even more when I introduced my daughters to them.

But Scrooged is one epic film is as well. As is National Lampoons. "See Russ, you cannot see the line" will live with me for ever.

Half of those films are not Christmas themed filmed either.

What c*nt nominated Love, Actually and what two c*nts voted for it?  The whole point of this competition should be identifying the guilty parties.

Thank f I finally have a vote. This is going to be the best Christmas ever except for the one when I received a gift.
