Tour De France 606v2 Official prediction game

A prediction game to be ran on 606. You will have to predict the top 3 on each stage. 15 points for each correct, 60 if you get the correct 1-2-3. 5 points for putting someone in the wrong position but they do finish top 3. Also you have to predict top 3 in main categories before TDF starts

im up for that count me in , if i have put my predo's down pm me cos im usually busy and get distracted

Bit too complicated for me-every stage!

Predicting the first two for the jerseys is about my limit.

and the winner of each stage otherwise it just gets way too complicated.

Or we just pick 5 riders - maximum 2 from any one team.
Allocate points after each stage so we can have a running competition.

Ist 200 points
2nd 100 points
3rd 50 points

If one of your riders is part of a peleton finishing equal 2nd - 25 points
If one of your riders is part of a peleton finishing equal 3rd - 10 points

Would that work?

The only thing it's a lot of work after each stage - compiling the points everyday and posting the updated table.

Also, not long to go before it starts - so we'd need to get our 5 picks in quickly and confirmed by InTheFast Lane!

Maybe have 1 replacement only - should one of your 5 riders withdraw or get DQ'd. If more than one of your riders withdraws, etc - no more subs.

So 5 riders + 1 designated replacement rider (cannot be substituted if he is doing better than your main 5 riders)

Does that sound too complicated and is the points distribution fair? I think a clear 2nd and 3rd place ahead of peleton is worth more than a bunch of riders finishing equal 2nd or equal 3rd.

Otherwise, do as Fernando suggests - or pick final winner in each category (for 300 bonus points for each category) to be added to above stage points at the end of it all.

Individual Time Trial and Team Time Trial - 200/100/50 points for 1/2/3 places.

If you have selected 2 riders from a team which finishes 1,2 or 3 in the Team Time Trial, then you receive double points. (i.e 400/200/100 points)

King of the Mountain - 200 points (all stages equal points, i.e. flat, intermediate, high mountain) to keep it relatively simple.

Let's see who else posts interest. I reckon we need at least 4 or 5 others to make it worthwhile...you agree?

Otherwise, we can just sit back and enjoy and hope our 'picks' do well.

(As long as AC doesn't win again, I'm happy!)

I'd like to have a go but am off soon for a couple of weeks to attempt this Double Etape in France.
