I'm ashamed to say, that I'll have a nose to see who's in the first celebrity version but then quickly lose interest and not bother with it at all afterwards.

BB is like a frigging zombie.

I suppose if anyone was going to pick it up it would be Channel 5.

Big Brother could have been good if they'd stuck with the original premise, or even tried to improve on it...a bunch of people trapped in a house with a vaguely sadistic "overlord" making them perform tasks in return for privileges and taking away said privileges to punish failures or misbehaviour.

Instead they went and decided to cater to the lowest denomination and made it all about the housemates, finding the most obnoxious, self-obssessed bunch of degenerates they could to ensure plenty of bitchiness, fighting and general low-brow stupidity.

I should point out I only watched the first series in its entirety and bits of the second. The rest of my opinions have been formed from snipppets of other series, trailers / ads for the show and newspaper / online articles.

Actually, I don't think I need to watch it. I've seen the a bit about the contestants and it looks horrendous.
