Stolen from the BBC website.
Nadal and Federer have won $7,803,288 between them in 2011 - Novak Djokovic has won $8,063,518

Leave your amazing stats here.

8 million is a huge number in terms of one years prize money if he keeps winning he may become the first player to do 10 in a season. In fact he might get to 12 if he wins the USO and maintains a busy schedule.

Yes, the Federer performance was bad enough but Nadals was atrocious. He didn't even carry much threat in the rallies. At one point I thought Fish was bullying him in the rally, which is barely believable.

I know he had a long match yesterday but it wasn't a real 3hr 38min, they both played so slow had it been between Federer and Blake it would have been over an hour shorter.

Leave your amazing stats here.

You need to add in appearance fees, tournament expenses and sponsorship income and perks to get a more realistic measure of their incomes to date for 2011.

Fed won 10 million in 2007 but I suspect Djokovic will win more than that this season provided he wins the USO Open & Cinni, as I think is likely and the Paris indoor, which he has won before.

What's inflation been like in prize money over 4 years?

That's true, although if Djokovic wins Cinni & the USO, that's a pretty dominant showing this year, 6 Masters & 3 Grand Slams & almost as many titles as Fed when he was most dominant except Djokovic could end up with less losses in a year and perhaps more titles since he could win others like the Paris Indoor & the Final Cup which he's both won before. So his prize could be a lot more than 10 million. A very impressive feat from Djokovic, next year will be interesting, I think it's not premature to say next year will surely be Fed's last?

Thanks for the post. I do not really feel sorry for any of these players if one of them happens to go on a losing streak. They are already set for life.

Unless, one of them makes atrocious financial choices.
