Why?

Do you ever find yourself watching TV or listening to the radio and just wondering why someone or something is considered of any importance?

Nominations for a 'bucket list' of things and people that just make you go 'why?'

My starters:

Miranda Hart (especially on the radio this week - I just don't get it)
Modern art (especially Tracy Emin)

Irrespective of your views on the conservatives, having a one party state is just asking for trouble (unless you are the isle of man).

And besides, the ideals of both the two major parties in this countries these days are not so far removed like they used to be. There are slight deviations on certain issues but long gone are the days of labour representing the working class man.

The difference between the two parties are on certain policies and the people in the party - basically its down to the personality.

By saying "get rid of one party" is showing that you have been brought up in a labourite household and programmed to hate the other side.

Every government has its faults. This current government will be judged in history (as were the previous torie regimes) - the unpopular decisions currently being made are trying to clean up the mess of over a decade of poor decision making by the last regime.

Unbelievably, people were blaming the Tories within months of them coming to power for the recession. Its not their fault but the fault of irresponsible policies from Misters Brown and Blair for the previous 5 years+

Yes the Tories may be unpopular, but getting rid of them is a ludicrous statement, just as it would be to get rid of the labour party. Government needs competition but it also needs a viable alternative.

Fair enough, I'm just is a bit of a tory hating state of mind at the moment as I'm in the process of applying for uni and they've just trebled the fees.

What I really, really hate is when on the news they suddenly decide to cut to a high street in a random city and ask some kncukle dragging Jeremy Kyle viewer what their opinion is on the topic of the day, then take that opinion as gospel for the entire country.

'Debt'

Now that bugs me for 2 reasons.

1) The Government more or less uses the term loosely and tries to create a togetherness to instill a collective responsibility to which the public buy into until they announce 'spending plans'

2) Adverts that start 'In Debt?' 'Nowhere to turn?' come to us for more debt so we can take everything you own because we help you and we help ourselves.

Agree that Daredevil was naff. Haven't seen Green Lantern yet so I can't comment on that.

Not really on any of them.

Batman is about it for decent Superhero films. Oh and Mystery Men.

The Dark Knight was very good I thought. Enjoyed the Superman films, and the X-Men ones (though not the origins films); Iron Man was better than I expected (though I really wasn't expecting much). Spiderman and Fantastic Four I didn't like, won't even mention Daredevil...
