What are getting for Christmas ?

Do you know what your getting for Christmas yet ? Either buying for someone or receiving yourself ?

Fingers crossed for me, I'll be getting the new Wales rugby shirt. Then if my parents are extra wonderful I might be getting an ipod (but that is doubtful).

Not got a blydi clue what I'm going to be buying for my family yet though

I'm not going to my mother's for Christmas this year, so she just bought me something I wanted off the net and got it delivered to my house to save posting it up to me anyway.

Receiving: no idea. I like surprises . My brothers usually get me a DVD, and the rest of the family a mix of books, clothes (nice sweater), CDs and book tokens.

Giving: having recently moved to Bordeaux in the south of France, I will be giving a fair few bottles of wine this year (all my family like wine ) so should be reasonably easy. May stick to DVDs for the bros though, and some thought of giving my parents tickets to a concert I'll be singing in.

Still waiting on the Mrs making her mind up if she wants an i-pad / samsung tab type thing otherwise I've not got a clue what to get her (I'm the least romantic person in the world so it's got to be practical).

Not sure for myself, need some new dirt bike boots for next year that go all the way up to the knee. Found out the hard way that the type that only cover the feet and ankles aren't great when you come off in the rain

Receiving - Dont really know but im guessing a new watch as my favourite one was lost a couple of months ago .

Giving - Well ... for the Wife what ever she tells me she wants ( i find it safer for my health ) ... for my Son he wants a new bike new scooter (some trick one ) and some computer games .......... and for my Daughter she wants drawing things , and peppa pig toys

the kids will be spoilt like usual .

I'm treating my girlfriend to a week in the Carribean starting on the 21st of December and then flying back to London for a few days.Is the London eye open on New Years Eve???

I don't know what I'm getting - I never ask for anything. I just like things. One year my wife (when she was still only my girlf) bought me some nice expensive gifts and my favourite was a 10 quid Mario Kart remote control car that for some reason didn't turn right. So she now knows making me happy is relatively inexpensive.

Its so cliche its untrue, but I genuinely care not a jot about the presents. I just love going round my mams for dinner with the family.

I worked last Christmas Day, so all I'd like this year, for Christmas, is the day off

Last year my girlfriend's work was closed because of the snow, because she's on a 0 hour contract she came out of this with a lot less money than she was expecting so to help her out I bought my own chrismas present from her. As I view christmas present shopping as a high pressure task where I don't want people to feel I don't care about them as much as they do about me (insecure I know) this was a godsend.

This year I felt she was undecided what to get me, clothes and shoes or some dvd boxsets and a book I fancied, my sister asked me the other day what I wanted and I said I wasn't sure as I didn't know what my girlfriend was going to get me, on checking with her tonight so I could tell my sister she revealed that she plans to get me clothes, shoes AND the dvds and books.

I need to get shopping.

I with ED on this one. I just like having the time off work to sit-in watching garbage on the TV with my own family and then the occasional night out with my mates. Christmas day is really for my kids now, it's amazing watching them get so excited.

Going back to work after the xmas break is one of the most difficult things in life to do. FACT.

That's great Cari, and volunteering especially around Christmas is such a brilliant thing to do

Personally for me the thing I like most about Christmas is spending time with my family. But my brother's not going to be home this year and my sister's going to be around her boyfriends for most of it which is making me a bit , but guess that's what happens as we all get older.

I'll still get to spend time with my parents, grandparents and extended family though which for me is the most important thing

Dreamer - it's good that you'll still have a lot of family members about. Does your sister's boyf live quite close, perhaps they'll still pop over for dinner or something?

No no he lives Aberystwyth way. So she'll be up there I'm thinking. Or she might do actual Christmas day at home (which will be nice) but do Christmas Eve and Boxing day with him. Something like that anyway!

Jeez Louise - my sister brought her "boyf" last year, and if I wasn't such a pathetic weakling he would have painfully replaced the angel on top of the tree even before we got to lunch. Moron.

He's gone now though. I like the new one. He can come.

I hope the weather's better for everyone this year. All that snow we had last year was nuts!

I'm not botherd about getting anything for xmas, will buy a few things though.

Going to be taking my girlfriend up to the east midlands, where shes from.

She's working xmas eve night, so will pick her up xmas day morning, then head up.

Its her favourite time of the year. Being a nurse she very rarely has any time off over xmas, so it means alot to her to go home.

I'm not to botherd that I wont be with my family, but I see them all the time so its all good.

Cari - I don't mind the snow, I just don't want our water pipes to freeze again! A week without water is NOT FUN.

What am I getting for Christmas? Even more full of rage.

I hate the festive period. It's months worth of people getting hyper for what is essentially a period of greed and gluttony.

When I worked in retail it was months of rubbish Christmas music being piped around the building while customers got increasingly grumpy/angry at me because they left everything until the last minute and can't believe that things are out of stock.

I like spending the day with my family, but I can do that any weekend.

I do Derby, I really do. But the general false happiness of everyone around me hightens my standard levels of hatred.

C will be going back to South Africa for a few weeks, so she will be hyper about that. Then she will be back just in time for new year...so that will give her something else to be hyper about...

Today is D Day if everthing is ok im going home tomorrow , my Mum still buys me the most strange presents , i get the usual shirt or jumper but then i get something wacky aswell last year i got a singing monkey !

Asked for a couple of nice hoodies and a polo shirt. Frig knows what I'm getting the missus! Eldest boy is getting a wethepeople BMX (don't ask how much! ) and a contract phone (£10 a month galaxy mini), xbox games, clothes and some halo toys. Youngest lad is getting a leappad tablet and imaginext stuff.

I've bought myself a Black Keys hoodie that should arrive from the States before Christmas. I can count on getting boxers and socks from both sets of grandparents, shower gels and deodorant from my older sister, money from my brother, my Mum is a mixed bag when it comes to presents and my Dad usually puts some money in my card and gets me something I hinted at around August, we go to the local non-league football on Boxing Day if they're playing at home.

This is the first Christmas I can give expensive presents as I'm in my highest paid job.

My two iPads arrived in the post today.One for me and one for my girlfriend for Christmas.

Seen a really nice necklace for the wife , she deserves it .

I've got no idea what I want or intend to give...

Probably just ask for some cricket and boxing books as usual...
