Shooting Stars Cancelled!

The BBC and Bob Mortimer have confirmed that there will not be a new series of Shooting Stars.

I though the show was bang on form again of late, largely due to the inclusion of Angelos Epithimou as scorekeeper - so this really suprises and disappoints me.

I just hope Angelos finds himself another vehicle on TV, because he is a great character. As for Reeves and Mortimer, it's difficult to see where they go from here. Their TV days may be over now.

Never liked the show myself. I just don't get Reeves and Mortimer's humour, just seem to be adults behaving like 10 year olds.

completely agree, i have never thought that mortimer was particuarly funny.

Mortimer was by far the funnier of the two.

Reeves is a buffoon - Bob is genuinely funny and clever.

And I would agree with ED - the show was a real return to form this year and its a real shame that its been axed. Angelos was just brilliant.

In return I agree with Hobo - Mortimer is by far the funnier of the two.

When they started Vic was funnier - but now he just says any stupid thing that pops in his head. Mortimer surpassed him along the way and holds the act together by putting a bit of thought into it.

Devastated. I loved Shooting Stars! It was a great show. I actually preferred with George Dawes on the scores, and Angelos on Ulrika's team but it was good nevertheless. Shame that it has been cancelled.

Wasnt Vic on Celebrity before? I know his missus was.

It's a very self satisfying show. Kind of glad it's been cancelled.

I believe Angelos may be getting his own show on ch4 so keep an eye out for that

when shooting stars returned with george dawes on scores and angelos as the permanent guest it was fantastic. i thought the series before last was brilliant too and while then last series was great in parts, it was hit and miss for me.

shame though, theres nothing like it on tv.

I can't believe it, Shooting Stars is Ace.
