A win for England would be a boost for Wales

A win for England will result in a fired up France next week. Use your common sense.

They can be as fired up as much as they want but they still wont win the championship if they lose today.

Inverdale saying how the championship could be decided in Twickernam next week.
He is such a plonker, England would have to win by about 40 points. He never admits that England are not the best team in the world, its ridiculous.

F'noon All
I'm not sure what'll happen where France are concerned. A French win might make things good for Wales next week or if they lost today, the French confidence might be on the floor and they play rubbish next week as well. You just never know with France. I just hope this is an entertaining game whatever.

No but they'll stop us from getting what we want (the Slam)...

France don't work like that, Morg. I think that how today's game goes will have no bearing whatsoever on how they play next week. They often seem to kick back (or fold) during games but I can't see them taking a defeat out on Wales. Plus you should be good enough to beat them anyway

really - how does that work then! If france win today they will obviously be more up for the game v wales!! because it will be a championship decider. either way better to worry about your own team beating them up whoever they play, you have a good team!

Re: Six Nations: France v England Thread
If anyone has watched France over the years you'll know for a fact they are a much more dangerous team coming in off the back of a loss. Any team does well when they have winning momentum, including France. But that is something they don't have.

Wales - I wonder if Clerc will be involved...? He'd better stay away from Tuilagi just to be on the safe side...

that's not true. Last year when France lost to us, then they lost to Italy. Over the past few years, when they have lost they have followed it up with narrow wins more often than heavy wins (only 1 sticks out and that was vs Italy!), in the World Cup when they lost to New Zealand in the groups they followed that with a loss to Tonga then abject performances against an even worse England and a 14 man Wales before they finally pulled it out when it mattered in the final (and still lost) if anything that's proof that if they get to a Championship decider against Wales they will be far more dangerous than if it is just a dead match to them with only pride to play for.

It would be a boost for Lancaster if England got a win today. French TV graphics are naff. They don't have the players photos.

Well, no, we do a leasurely 75mph cruise and we are big because we get lots of fresh air, eat lots of red meat and grow up in the outdoors.
